We decided to et at the Patriarche after we sampled one of their appetizers on our food tour, and we're happy we did. Our favorite part was most likely the charm of the restaurant itself, and the enthusiastic staff- who clearly really enjoyed what they did. Each course is very interesting, and the restaurant's unique "3 samples/course" style was fun.... More

... and also great selection of wines, provided by Miss Sophie, the sommelier here. Excellent escargots feuilleté, tasty veal. And only 20 steps from the main street of the Old City. My high recommendation!

We're foodies and really wanted to experience this "3-tastings" a dish place we heard so much about while staying in Quebec City. Their servings are different versions of each type of food, whether for appetizers, main courses, and/or desserts. Very cool idea, and they present the food very nicely. They're small "tastings" portions, not as great as we hoped but... More

I cannot recommend this restaurant. My husband and I went for dinner there on the Saturday night of the May long weekend. We had a reservation, and were initially quite impressed with the place. It has a great ambience, with cool artwork, in an historic stone building in Old Quebec. However, the night quickly went downhill from there. Service was... More

Dined at Le Patriarche last night because of reviews read on Trip Advisor and Yelp. While this is a special dining experience because of the "trio" of tastes, the presentation was far better than the actual taste of the food. If the meal were as delicious as the presentation, it would be well worth it, but sometimes it doesn't matter... More

My boyfriend and I had the immense pleasure of dining at Le Patriarche on Saturday, April 20th. From the moment we pulled up to the restaurant, we could tell this would be an unforgettable experience. It is a small, warm and charming restaurant that has everything required to titillate all of your senses. We were greeted by the sommelier who... More

We are foodies and planned this dining experience with careful consideration. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted warmly and shown to a comfortable table in the charming upstairs dining room. Sophie was our server (as well as the sommelier)and was highly effective in orchestrating the impecable service for the entire dining room. We started with a tasty... More

My boyfriend and I love gastronomic restaurants. We have be to a few in Quebec city so far and amidst le Saint-Amour, le Laurie Raphael, Le Patriarche is truly my favorite. It was our second visit, we came for our 5 year anniversary. I had received a forfait from La Forfaiterie as a Christmas gift (6 meal course). The warm... More

The warm welcome on our arrival at La Patriarche signaled the start of a special evening for my wife and me. The simple beauty of the dining room coupled with outstanding food and service made for a most pleasurable dining experience. The signature "trio" presentation of a core ingredient such as lamb prepared in three different ways was a real... More

We were introduced to this wonderful spot while on one of the local food tours. The style and enthusiasm of the owner was so infectious we cancelled our prior evening reservations and booked with Le Patriarche for that same evening. It was one of the best decisions we made. Exceptional food, beautifully presented. Service was attentive without being invasive and... More
