The service was attentive and the house wine quite satisfactory. They were out of one of the specials by the time we arrived, but everyone managed to find something to enjoy. It is not strong on veggie dinners which is a limitation but the service is nicely paced and although the place is small we did not feel crowded. On... More

We had walked from our hotel through the old city and taken the Finikular down under the fort. We found this little restaurant and were delighted when we stepped inside. It was small and intimate, the decore was lovely and different. Raphael our waiter was wonderful and made suggestions for us. The food was delicious and well prepared. At the... More

I don't like giving a bad review of a restaurant but the attitude and service from the waiter was just appalling and not necessary. What made it worse was he overlooked you entering your tip..... BIG NO NO! The food was prepped a little too much, though the meat was very good. There are much better experiences in terms of... More

The elk burger and duck spring roll were delicious. The service was excellent...our waitress offered us blankets as it was a bit chilly on a sunny April afternoon. Great place to have lunch and people watch.

A pleasant room on a charming street in old Quebec. Good service. A menu that works for a family - grownup food for adults, and also the kind of food that kids prefer. But the food is not that good. Shrimp cocktail has small semi-frozen shrimps, filet of pork dull, duck uninspired. Deserts are good!

I came here for lunch with my girlfriend while we were on vacation, and we really enjoyed it. I had a delicious duck sandwich, and she had an elk burger. We also shared a maple pudding, which was really decadent and also quite tasty. The atmosphere was very nice - mostly modern inside, but one of the walls was the... More

My wife and I loved the quality of the food. We had a full meal with wine, including salad, fresh cod, salmon and chocolate desert. Everything was very well prepared and the price was moderate. The restaurant is located in the lower old Quebec near the funicular.

We stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful experience. I had the duck springrolls and french onion soup. My partner had the ribs, and my mom had the fish and chips. Mom is very picky about her fish and chips and really enjoyed them. My partner said the ribs were the best she'd ever had, and I thoroughly enjoyed... More

My first dinner old Québec was in Basse-Ville (Lower Town) at Bistro Sous le Fort, 48, rue Sous-le-Fort (www.bistrosouslefort.com). It is clear that Lower Town is devoted to tourism – sporting a plethora of too-cute boutiques and restaurants. I have found that tourist oriented establishments often have no real incentive to provide high quality meals. This venue was no exception.... More

The interior has been remodelled since we were last there - it is nor VERY contemporary rather than rustic quaint. We liked it, but may not be to everyones taste. Food was OK, but not great - we have had better meals there in the past. My fish was overcooked and dry - and the sweetbreads the other three guests... More
