The building burned in 2011. Great location right on the water so something should rise from the ashes.
Had a great meal there, and read in the paper the next day that the whole place burned down later that night. Too bad, it was one of the best spots to watch the sun go down with a cold beer.
My fiance and I visited the Blue Peter Pub for the first time since new owners took over. The new paint and decor has restored the place back into a nice dinner spot with one of the best locations in Sidney. The food was good with a wide variety of more than just pub fair. Our waitress was attentive and... More
This restaurant is located right on the water so you get good views of the marina and it is a nice place for dinner. However, the food quality is not consistent and some entrees are just not worth the price (e.g. roast beef). The service is generally on the poor side of the scale. If you are willing to put... More
The location really makes this restaurant...the deck hangs over the water, and looks directly out on the boat dock, boathouses etc. A very "salty" location with lots of charm. The service was just a touch below rediocre in my opinion. A few minutes after taking our order, che came back and siad "What did you order again?" No problem, maybe... More
I went wanting some seafood since it was my first night in Sidney. The place is in a nice location overlooking the boats so it must be nice at sunset. I'd consider this place more as a place to go to for some drinks and an appetizer with friends rather than an enjoyable dinner. The place is open and loud.... More
Heard there were new owners takeing over and renovating. We went and were very pleased to see what was done. No more of that fine dining room the had, never did like that room. The place has opened right up to one big room, great big sociable bar in the middle of the room. Food is great, with good prices.... More
We made a reservation for ourselves and friends from out of town at the restaurant, and after some confusion about names were seated. We were surprised at the prices for the dinners, they seemed high for the venue. We were told we couldn't order off the pub menu or the lunch menu, even though others in the dining room were... More
OK, this in not your romantic dinner out. Nor is it where you go for a posh meal (They do have a restaurant but we did not eat in that part). This is where you go to unwind after a good long day of travel or touring. Take a walk along the marina and stop in for a really good... More
