Best Japanese food ever. This is the real deal. We were not sure what to have for lunch so the chef came out and talked to us and made us his choice ( and it was busy at lunch time and he still took the time to come out and make sure that our lunch was fabulous ). We will... More

A dozen of us got on of those little rooms where you have to take your shoes off. Really good sushi, and we downed a bottle of the "Pearl" saki too. Reasonably priced and well above average food.

Great food Great ambience Great service Great prices Kawakubo has it all. Wow. What a surprise in Revelstoke. This place is full of happy people every night eating fantastic sushi and Japanese food. We ate here two nights in a row and both nights the food was amazing. The roll combinations are quite innovative and the ingredients fresh and high... More

I know what you're thinking ... raw fish in the middle of the mountains? You crazy! If you like sushi, you have to go here. Delicious roll combinations that I wouldn't even think of (Curry Roll) that just work! All of the regular selections are fresh and are good portions. Sunomono Salad was great, as was the Spicy Vegetable miso... More

Had a hard time getting a table here on a Friday night in February. Ended up sitting at the cocktail bar (which is not the sushi bar) and would have preferred to wait for a table but we were hungry. The food more than made up for the sitting location, and I will note that the atmosphere of the rest... More

This small and personal restaurant has an authentic Japanese feel. A little piece of Japan in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. The food backs this up though some concession is given to the local Canadian preferences such as Chicken Teriyaki and a very long list of Sushi rolls. The classics are also on the menu with Sashimi, Sushi, and... More

Three adults and three children ate there and enjoyed ourselves. Good pork bun, fried chicken & tempura starters and nice terinyaki main courses. Would eat here again.

Relaxed and cosy surroundings, with helpful staff, who were patient with this novice. We shared the vegetable and shrimp tempura which were fantastic, then it was on to the rolls, the crispy, crazy and boston. All three were good, but the we both agreed the crispy came out on top.
