Passing through Golden on our way East and were looking for somewhere to eat supper. This little place looked interesting so we thought we'd give it a try. Had a very pleasant experience and a great meal. Would definitely recommend.

While staying at a B&B in Golden, we decided on "The Island" Restaurant, housed in a log cabin. The menu had a nice variety of foods, and the service was wonderful. Certainly a place to return to.

I was in Golden on business and discovered this restaurant online. They were able to accommodate me without a reservation but were still pleasantly busy. However, it was still early in the season so this might not always be the case so best to call for a reservation! I had the Salmon and the chef was kind enough to accommodate...

Food was good here, they have items that are both vegetarian and gluten free. Patio is nice when it is warm and the service is quick and friendly.

We travel through Golden twice a year and always make a point of stopping by for either dinner, lunch or breakfast. Every time we have been greeted with a smile and the food has been great. I would recommend it to everyone that is passing through.

We have visited Kickinghorse Resort on numerous occasions but never made it to this restaurant. Travelling back from Western BC on Thanksgiving meant that all the fast food stops were full so we called in at The Island, and wow, great food at a reasonable price and a sense of relaxation.
