We love Indian cooking and needed a change while touring the UK. This was money well spend and we were not disappointed. We all agreed to do it again. Try it.

By far our favourite Indian restaurant, The Ancient Raj combines excellent service with good food. We have eaten here many times with groups or just the two of us. We have never been disappointed (except when we have left it too late to book, that is). The chicken biryani is a particular favourite.

Bluuugh Madras was gross, watery. Although the spice was there it wasn't zingy enough and the sauce had a very peculiar flavour and funny smell. Not tried other dishes. Where can I get good madras from to takeaway?
