There are plenty of better places to eat in Camden. My friends chose this place (I'm not sure why!) as they got to the area before me. It's more a "canteen" than a restaurant. It's brightly lit, the tables are fairly cramped together and there's no ambiance or decor to speak of. I suppose the prices reflect this, as they... More

I'm surprised at the reviewer who found the staff unhelpful, over many visits over last 15 years haven't found that to be the case. But then they do in fact have a drinks licence so maybe the review is for somewhere else. It's a simple place- formica tables- but there are some interesting things on the menu (the eel starter... As someone who visits London on a semi-regular basis I am more than prepared for the hike in prices, particularly when eating out. I visited Viet-Anh Cafe with a friend who is a regular and was amazed by how great this place is, particularly in terms of value for money! Main courses are huge and average around £8 - bargain!... I feel compelled to write this after reading the negative reviews for this place. I honestly don't recognise the cafe/restaurant I've been going to for about a decade now practically every time I'm in London. the environment is not plush but it's great for a quick, good value, good quality meal. They also let me nurse a green tea for... More

I used to enjoy eating here when I lived in Camden so returned for a visit last week (it's been about 8 months since I last went) and I have to say i was quite disappointed. I had a tofu and chinese broccoli soup which was nice but not as many fresh and crunchy vegetables as I remember and the... More

This is one of my favourite little restaurants. The service may not be the best but the food is cheap and always delicious. Recommended

This was my first experience with Vietnamese food; I went with a Vitenamese and Chinese friend who well-versed with the cuisine and the culture so I was in good hands. The food was quickly prepared and looked appetising; everything after that was downhill. The cutlery and table were dirty. For a soup and Kung Po tofu I paid nearly £12.00... More

AVOID- Awful. It's not often I have experienced a meal so greasy it's inedible. I'm a massive fan of Vietnamese food, but this was a huge disappointment. No query from the staff on why we ate only a few mouthfuls of our meal. I can only assume this restaurant survives from passing tourist non-repeat trade. Really expensive too

We ate last night, 4 of us looking for a quick bite. It was full, good sign, so we waited to be seated. As we were waiting we asked the waiter if this was a bring your own booze, he said yes - so we popped to the shop opposite. Bought wine & beer only to then be told we... More

Go here all the time, it's quickly become our favourite local place to eat. A great range of tasty vietnamese specials at a decent price, along with attentive service.
