Came here with family at 4pm on a Tuesday - so neither lunch nor dinner but food was good, service good and generally a good place to come. Recommended.

We are lucky enough to live a couple of miles from Wyken vineyard and visit the leaping hare regularly. It passes my partners 'return' again scrutiny . He often loves a place first time then finds faults thereafter! Not here, he loves it as do I. We love the bistro, particularly the eggs benedict which is as good every time... More

We have eaten here and it has always been good but I think this time even better , with such imagination shone on the menu and such reasonable prices for the food . Maybe it was the sun shining that made it the perfect sunday lunch treat or the llamas enjoying the spring day or the new born lambs skipping... More

the best place to sit in the sun, watch the lambs and the red poll cattle, whilst imbibing the best cappuccino and cookies in suffolk. The food is excellent too, plus the country store where you can buy beautiful homewares and books. Very relaxing.

The Leaping Hare restaurant is in the most stunning vaulted barn on the wonderful Wyken Estate just north of Bury St Edmunds. We regularly visit the brilliant farmers' market there on Saturdays (fantastic produce, bread, cheese, oatmeal, fish and local meats) and shop for gifts in the Country Store but haven't eaten there in a while. A visit by my... More

This was randomly selected as a roughly half way point between where we live in Norfolk and our daughter, husband and children live in Hertford. It is a farm, and an unexpected bonus was that we arrived in what was clearly the lambing season - a special treat for our 4-year-old granddaughter. The barn is beautiful and we all enjoyed... More

This is a destination worth any length of drive. The shop is full of fabulous gifts, interior items, interesting books, homewares, clothing and cards. The gardens are some of the best I have ever visited. The cafe serves delicious food, has an amazing wine list with very interesting English products and the service is impeccable. I can never find fault... More

The setting for the Leaping Hare restuarant is beautiful. Set in the Suffolk countryside, the barn in which the restaurant is found is just gorgeous (espeically at Christmas time). The food is locally sourced and never fails to impress. They sell their own wine which I would thoroughly recommend and the staff are very attentive. Well worth a visit!
