We ate in the Annexe on Thursday night, ahead of going to the NIA for a gig. We booked on line via their website and received an instant text confirming our reservation - this was very simple and straight forward to use.
We arrived at 6pm so the restaurant was empty initially. Even half empty it still offered a romantic...

Went to Annexe for dinner on a Thursday night. Although not particularly busy there was still a pleasant atmosphere about the place and we received a friendly welcome as we were seated.
Throughout dinner the service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. There seemed to be someone there when required but were mostly a discrete distance away when not....

Friends had told us what a lovely place this was - and it is! Okay, it's not Fine Dining (which can be a bit formal & 'stuffy') but high grade Bistro / Good Provincial Dining fayre (why is there a 'Y' there?!). VERY friendly. stunning welcoming interior, and nothing that was in anyway disappointing. Started with the seafood soufle (not...

Really enjoyed our visit to the Annexe for lunch yesterday. Food was lovely and service was great. Looking forward to visiting again next time we are in Birmingham, hopefully for dinner next time.
Lovely place, good service & pleasant atmosphere. Good value food that tasted great and was served quickly which was perfect for a lunchtime. Set menu is amazing value and really impressed. Waiter was attentive and helpful. Only issue was bill was incorrect as they'd mixed us up with another table. Interesting music choice but we enjoyed it!
Fantastic menu! Wonderful service and decor. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. Perfect for those who like vintage glamour and the bar area is great for drinks with friends.
Went there with my boss for lunch. We were seated at the front part of the restaurant. I thought some of the tables were too close together, and a plant does not add much privacy!
Food was very nice and reasonably priced in the set menu. Service was polite and attentive, however I found it a bit cold. Despite being...

Five of us went for lunch and chose off the set menu. Three of us ordered the fish cakes (note the plural). Although the food was beautiful, the three of us , felt that the fish cake ( note singular) left us wanting more, more of a starter dish. However our two colleagues who ordered pork loin & pasta were...

We visited Annexe as part of a group for lunch and found the atmosphere lively, the food good and the service quick and polite. Then set menu had enough on it for most of the group, although some chose a la carte. Much better than when précis owners had the place, well worth checking out.
