My wife and myself had climbed Snowdon from the Pyg track and were on our way down via the Llanberis path. My wife's knees were giving me cause for concern as she was in considerable pain. I told her to wait by the road and I would rush and fetch the car from the Royal Victoria Hotel. On my way... More

I completed my climb of Snowdon on Thursday 2nd May 2013, being a novice i had no idea what i was letting myself in for. After several hours in the heat the site of Penceunant Lsaf was a wecolme sight. I received a warm welcome from the owner and the food was also lovely, no soggy sandwiches in sight. The... More

We stopped here on our way back down the Llanberis path today. Steffan was the perfect host, letting us sort out our two very wet six year olds as well as three wet adults!! He was a joy to chat to and the refreshments were most welcome. An amazing place with great character as well as the great man himself!!... More

I've been visiting this café for about 5 years now, it's full of charm at a very distinct style. The owner, Head Chef, Landlord and Pot washer is the most unique, helpful and friendly person I have met. I could go on for hours about this place and maybe bore a few people but I can't advise people strongly enough... More

We called in at the end of our walk over Snowdon. What a surprise, a wonderful buffet laid on and Steffan couldn't do enough to help us. Wonderful warm atmosphere which made the perfect end to walk over Snowdon. In all the years I've been hiking in Snowdonia I never knew this place existed, I wish I had! Can't recommend... More

We have known Steffan for over 12 years and have always enjoyed our visits to this most unique of tea rooms. It is an absolute gem of a place that simply oozes charm with a welcome and hospitality that would put many a grand hotel to shame. This week Pen y Ceunant was our base for a sponsored walk and... What a fantastic place to go after a Snowdon bimble. We went up the mountain but only managed half way up because of the ice high up. We were a family party of 8 from Wales, England and Australia. We dropped in on the off chance of a cup of tea and a cake before we made our way back... More
