Decent pub lunch in a nice atmosphere, busy but not noisy, with helpful service. Excellent views round the hills from the conservatory or the terrace outside. Helped by the bank holiday sun.

On a beautiful afternoon, we found this little jem of a pub with views over the surrounding country side and on a good day we are told the Bristol Channel.
A truly delightful pint of real ale, to accompany a giant cod coated with beer batter, real home made chips and a blob of tatare sauce, a meal made in...

Beautiful home cooked food, choice to suit all tastes, with 'real' chips, ample portions, and very competitively priced. Prompt service and a very warm welcome from the friendly staff. Cosy and relaxed atmosphere: home from home. Panoramic views.
The young man behind the bar does an okay job. This is not aimed at him, rather at the poor management of the premises.
Unfortunately, there aren't enough staff there. Often the bar is left unattended as the barman also acts as the waiter, collecting plates, visiting the kitchen and delivering meals.
When it's quiet, that's not a problem, but...

We have visited this pub over a number of years and have regularly enjoyed the food and views. The current Landlord however has put us off visiting ever again. The menu offers pork medallions which obviously are from the tenderloin (google it!) the meal I was served was a pork chop cut into pieces and nowhere near the quality I...

Visited on a sunny but very windy day and the views are outstanding. Only 1 person serving drinks and food so the service was very slow and our food arrived about 3/4 of hour after ordering. Food was ok but nothing to rave about, very basic and not huge portions. We would go there for a drink in the summer...

We have eaten here on a number of occasions both as a couple and as part of a larger group, both at lunchtime and also in the evening. We have found the service to be friendly and helpful, the menu is quite basic but with enough to suit most tastes, and the quality and presentation of the dishes is good.
We return...

Been to this pub a few times usually on a lunch break from work. The reviews are right about views, However, the food is basic pub grub and slightly over priced, ' £5.95' for a filled Jacket potatoe with no sides(just a slice of tomatoe and lettuce). But, on a sunny day, the view will take your breath away!
This pub has one of the most spectacular views on a sunny day. My family and I visited in the summer and enjoyed the friendly staff and wonderful menu. It was my daughters birthday and we were really made to feel special so thank you to all the lovely staff that night.
