The items on the varied menu werre well cooked and priced competitively. Aileen is an asset to the establishment. She gets you to buy a bottle of wine when you only thought you wanted a glass!!

Four starters - Posh Fish and Chips x 2, Sirloin Steak, Steak pie and chips. and yes value for money. Scottish entertainment after our meal, what more could you ask for.
Good service by waitress. Friendly staff and great cider on tap.
Food was good and tasty. They have something called scampi
But it is deep fried heavy breaded fishy item, not what I was expecting.
Do not order the "scampi"
They can not control the clients so hearing the "f" word every other word is something you need to put...

Thank you for your comments following your visit to the Waterfront. I was disturbed and disappointed by your reference to foul language being used in the restaurant. However, to suggest that our customers would be subjected to foul language on a regular basis could not be further from the truth. We are a family run establishment where families and children...

Great location by the waterfront, with very helpful staff and acceptable food. The staff are the main selling point who went out of there way to cater for our needs.
This is the place to be on a Thursday night. It has a local feel, good food, reasonably priced drink and great Scottish music from Kenny. A hidden gem.
This pub was recommended to us our B & B and it didn't disappoint. Located on the river (that's the "waterfront"), there may be outside tables, but not when we were there as it was a cool rainy night. The Baked Morangie Brie and Salmon Rob Roy, suggested by our waitress, were both excellent and reasonably priced.
We went here in April this year on a freezing rainy night for my Dads 65th birthday and we were not disappointed! The staff were very friendly and effecient. The food was amazing. Try the highland tapas! A platter of haggis pakora, game pate, smoked salmon, scallops, crab cakes and brie! All for 4.50 per person, well worth it. Pheasant...

We chose the Waterfront based on its name thinking we would have a view of the river while eating. Unfortunately the tables for the restaurant are further away from the front windows and we had no view at all. We were sitting at a front table but were asked to move by the waitress to a table in the back...

Had dinner here and it was great. Kids menu is very reasonably priced and the food is excellent. Fish is outstanding. Great suggestions from the staff (including what NOT to order) Decent Scottish beer selection, but not extensive. Priced midrange pub. Two starters, two adult mains, one child, four beer/wine, shared dessert, GBP 52,00 before tip / US$ 80.00
On the positive side, there's a great atmosphere here. Extremely busy and you need to book. Although it was extremely busy, the service was reasonably good. Wouldn't rush back because 3 of us had steaks, all were very tough and full of grissle. When asked if we enjoyed it, I expressed my disappointment with the steak. Was told that they...
