My favourite restaurant occupies a small corner site in a quiet neighbourhood overlooking a canal. It has French influences and is friendly and informal and serves wonderful food. The front of house staff take a great pride in sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for food and wine with their customers. Locks Brasserie in Dublin has recently been awarded its first... More

We visited Dublin over a long weekend, and we were so happy to discover the canal system. Since Dublin is quite the foodie town and we'd already eaten at the fabulous Patrick Gilboud, we sought out another French restaurant and came up with Locks Brasserie. It is a 10-minute cab ride from the city center and a very pleasant view... More

Top notch restaurant with stunning food, tables are quite close which can be off putting for some people but the service and ambience were fantastic. Has to be in the top 10 restaurants in Dublin. No complaints and I'm looking forward to a return visit

As mentioned in one of the reviews below, we are not sure as well... Being in limbo about this place. Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is really nice (feels homy), prices are very reasonable... But: - the food is ok, nothing more - service is ok but e.g. had to ask which cheese to start with (not very pro-active)... More

Returned back to Locks after nearly 6 years. New owners have definitely raised the bar. Food was excellent, wines too. Beautiful setting and a must do if you are in Dublin either living or visiting.

Went for lunch. He had the social €25 for two courses, I has a la carte. All food was delicious. Small portions, but neither of us were hungry afterwards. Attentive service, but not over bearing. Tables a a little bit close to each other. Amazing raspberry and rosemary petit fours with coffee.

Well Locks is a bit out of the way from the main eating places of central Dublin and on the strength of a recommendation of a friend I decided to try. As my better half had a birthday and I thought a trip to Dublin and a night out at Locks would be a nice surprise. Staff where very good... More

After ashamedly arriving 30 minutes late, I was immediately very warmly welcomed at the door by two very friendly waiters, who then ushered us to a lovely table with a picturesque view of the canal. After taking our coats we were given a wonderful menu to choose from at incredibly reasonable prices for a Michelin Star restaurant. Our food came... More

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by returning to this very fine restaurant. What a wise choice. The food was perfectly cooked and the service was excellent. We went on a Monday evening and the place was packed out. The restaurant has introduced a € 25 set menu which is great value for such a top establishment.
