Hadn't been here for maybe 20 years but had an Early Bird pre-theatre - beautiful food and such welcoming, friendly and competent staff. Very happy with our meal and our evening.

Had not been to this restaurant in years so decided to book it for our girls Christmas night out .We were a party of 8 and we all agreed that the food was absolutely gorgeous empty plates for every course . Service was great also...keep doing what your doing guys 👍More
Super casual dining, nice choice of menu, excellent value, friendly staff and lovely food. The restaurant is a little noisy but throughly enjoyed it.
We visited the restaurant on our way back to catch a train after a day in Dublin..it had been recommended to us. To be honest I’ve been in Dublin numerous times and never knew it existed probably because of its location on the first floor...of a building. From the moment we entered we were treated in a really respectful way. Staff were so helpful and knew exactly what they were talking about when it came to their food. We had the early bird menu and every single course was so tasty. I cannot recommend it highly enough if you want decent honest food in a spotlessly clean environment which is warm and welcoming this is your place. Well done to 101!More
We booked ahead because we saw the very positive reviews but nothing resembled what we read. Staff were confused and changed all the time, they couldn't answer our questions regarding the dishes and were now professional at all. The food was very disappointing to the...point that we couldn't finish it and we left right after they took away our plates. The cost of such a meal was really exaggerated. BTW, besides a group of about 10 persons, we were alone in the huge restaurant.More
The food was delicious and the staff extremely friendly and welcoming. We had the roast Irish chicken supreme and the braised duck dishes. Both fabulous!
I dined here with two friends during the interval of the Druid/Synge trilogy at the nearby Abbey theatre. I had booked it at the same time as the theatre tickets, I've been coming here since the 1980's and always loved the food. It's just that...little bit different, homely, tasty Irish food and the set menu of starter and main course for €28 was great value. There was a group of American tourists finishing off their meals when we arrived, they must have been amazed as the room filled up quickly with a chattering crowd! I had the aubergine rolls with feta and the crab and fish arrancini, and I went mad and had the lemon posset for an extra €8. My friends had the chunky vegetable soup, hummus, vegetarian curry and a generous pork chop with green beans and rustic roast potatoes. Everyone was hungry, the portions were generous and the service was very prompt and efficient,so well organised for such an influx of people over such a short time. We will all be back, would heartily recommend this stalwart.More
Food was very good service was great we were able to get in without a reservation but highly recommend one as the place filled up very fast.
Came here to have food other than pub offerings and it was wonderful. The 3 course dinner for 40€ was wonderful. I had the duck, others had beef or fish and everyone enjoyed it. The large slice of cheesecake was really light and fluffy, not...the dense kind you find in the US. It was a great place to celebrate my son’s bday.More
This has always had great food and very good value, but they surpassed themselves tonight; the druid o'case trilogy in the Abbey meant that went from empty to packed in 5 minutes. Everyone served good food in good relaxed humour. There are so many restaurants...where you could cook as well, or better, at home - this isn't one of them.More
This is a great restaurant, friendly people, good food and good service. And also for a good price. We were looking for a restaurant and found this gem. You have to walk up the stairs to get inside and we we surprised with what we...found. Friendly staaf who even asked if we were in a hurry to get to a theatre or had other appointmets so they would adapt the serving speed to that. The food was also excellent. We definitely would go there again.More
The best and most delicious food in the city. This place never fails to impress, we had started, mains, cocktails and dessert and it was all delicious. So tasty with great service in a fabulous atmosphere. Go here you will not be sorry!!!!
Few restaurants survive for a near generation. The 101 Talbot is one of these. It feels as if it has been around forever in the Dublin culinary circle. As many new places have come on gone, it remains an exemplar of good dining. With an...unpretentious atmosphere, it sits in the middle of a good old Dublin commercial area. Its staff are friendly and attentive as if they enjoy what they do. And they do it well. The menu is above expectations and serves a very satisfactory selection of meats, fish and vegetarian. Cooked and served to a standard that is beyond expectation. We chose the early bird which gave a very reasonable choice of dishes. The wine list is not cheap but this reflects, I think, the quality of the labels. You pay for what you get! As for the dessert menu. The most scrumptious I've seen in a long time. Well done to all involved for presenting a high-quality, well-priced, and imaginative menu in a relaxed setting. Long may it continue. We'll be back.More
This is a great spot for a pre-theatre meal. The service was very fast but extremely friendly and very reasonable and a lovely atmosphere.👍
My wife dined at 101 Talbot Street. Everything was excellent.... the food, the service and the atmosphere. The staff could not have been more friendly. I had the Curry Mussel appetizer. My wife had the scallop small plate. Then we split the lasagna. Everything was...fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend.More
