The chips were cold, dry and tasteless. They’d been sitting g out for some time I think. Tea was weak and tasteless. Fish (hake) was delicious. The meal was skimpy and expensive.

Thank you for the review Rosalie. Sorry your chips and tea where not to your liking. Can l ask did you bring your issues to the attention of your server or a manager 🤔 If you could let us know l would appreciate it.
Charming and cozy upscale pub with impressive art collection and James Joyce theme throughout. The shrimp cocktail came in a martini glass with lettuce and a remoulade (?) sauce. The steak frites came with a luscious peppery steak sauce and was delicious. The chicken came...with rich, buttery whipped potatoes and glazed carrots and parsnips. The Baileys cheesecake was airy and fluffy, not dense; it was excellent. Our only critique would be that we wish there were more light fare on the menu.More

This stylish Dublin hotspot had a relaxed vibe. Superb service (Thank you Andy), Myself and my daughter were in awe as he performed his art of cocktail making. We spoke about oysters and how I wouldn't consume a half a dozen, to which he enlightened...me, that I could order 1 if I liked. So I did, I ordered 1 and the oyster and accompanying sauce were superb, so I ordered another... All in all a wonderful experience, all the more so,as it was one of my dad's favourite pubs in Dublin because of the Oysters. We were marking his anniversary, and ye made it a memorable one. Thanks to all in davy byrnes.More

Great service and food. We had a nice meal and excellent service. Not sure if it was the best in Dublin but a very nice experience.

Excellent if a little pricey, good staff and the food was lovely. Nice wine selection and a lovely ambience and interior. Great for a date night or special occasion.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch in Davy Byrnes, a really cosy and friendly place in the heart of Dublin. The staff were very attentive and full of good cheer. There's a full bar obviously, and the food was very tasty. I had the fish (hake)...and chips. The fish was excellent, the chips so so. Its quite expensive but I guess you are in the city centre. Anyway, lovely ambiance, full of locals too which is always a good sign.More

After going to the trouble to visit this establishment we found the barman had no communication skills and wasn't interested so we just left!
Excellent venue with great food and service. Thanks to Alexandra. Great music and sing along with Bryan Smyth, with Laura behind the bar keeping us refreshed. 10/10

Friday night, no booking and very busy but they managed to fit us into an inside table. Excellent service, good food choices, the Christmas menu is a great price and went down well and one of the best pints of Guinness in a city where...you’re not exactly spoiled for choice.More

Terrible experience. Went in for food around 4pm, 3 adults and 1 toddler and we were told they had no high chairs first which I said was no problem as toddler is able to sit down on normal chair then waitress said we have no...kids menu, no kids changing facilities I said that’s okay. Initially we were told there was a booth available then waitress went out the back and came back as said no there was no table. Felt so discriminated against over having a toddler with me. They used every excuse not to give us a table. Absolutely terrible.More
Fab decor ,the Christmas sandwich was perfection....and our waitress Sydney was lovely ,very personable and knows the surrounding area very well, directed us to a lovely pub just off grafton street...thank you Sydney
Lovely cosy restaurant and bar. Good food, drink and service. Decor very comfortable. Number of locals in so that's a good sign. Recommended.

This was our last dinner in Dublin, and it was the perfect send-off. We had to eat here because of James Joyce, and it did not disappoint! The fried gorgonzola with burgundy-soaked pear was a revelation and delicious start to the meal, while the steak...frites were cooked to perfection and its pepper sauce the best we've EVER had. The beef and Guinness was to die for! Our only regret is there was absolutely no room for dessert. An added bonus is that Davy Byrne's is gorgeous and the service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back!More

We attended Davy Byrne’s on Sunday evening as we passed the restaurant on Saturday and thought it looked nice. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was bustling and beautifully decorated. My partner had the pie and I had the steak, both were delicious. It was...a busy spot and we were lucky to get a table so I would recommend booking in advance.More
