Warm cozy city center bar, with a few excellent craft beer selections (Trouble Brewing was on tap). Well done folks! Excellent bar staff too.
Fun little pub just outside of the Temple Bar. We stumbled on this pub while waiting for the Luas in the rain. The bartender was fantastic and it felt more authentic than those in the Temple Bar. We loved it so much that we returned...again.More
The main floor pub is decent sized, well lit and clean with a large selection of beverages. I was there on a Saturday night and went to the downstairs room which was a lot of fun. Sheela the bartender was entertaining on her own. There...was also live music with Mark Flynn who played and sang various styles of music and near the end of the night he unplugged his guitar and microphone, sat at the bar with the patrons, sang some more then let one of the patrons (big David Bowie fan) sing and play. It was one enjoyable and memorable night of music and laughs.More
Newly redecorated and looking fabulous but still honouring it's theatre links with the Abbey and supporting the local sports. The Neptune bar downstairs has also had a facelift and looks great, feels comfortable. The smoking area is done up like something from a Dickens novel,...fantastic. Really welcoming and friendly staff. The music was also brilliant. Would recommend a stop off. 2 nice IPAs on tap too.More
Rudest staff I have ever met no respect for customers at all I advise giving this place a miss if you are in Dublin
Fabulous staff. Good advice and info for our short concert stay. Will be back for a longer stay. Jim and Aileen from Limerick
Lovely little pub, we stumbled on by accident and spent the whole night there, not touristy, met some lovely Dublin people snd they pull an excellent pint of Guinness. Recommended!
Friendly staff and delicious pints and toasties. If you’re traveling to Dublin this spot is a must as it’s just a great pub to hang out at!
I was traveling in 1984. Stopped at the Neptune Lounge, a short walk from bus station. Sat all evening with the makeshift band listening to them play Irish music until close. Left with the crew to one of the band members homes. The friendly group...kept me busy for a few days, learning about the culture and activities of our newly formed little gang. Magic!More
My fiance is pregnant and tried to use toilet and barman was very rude and told her no for customers only. After I told him she is pregnant he said no nothing I could do about it and refused. This is disgraceful. It was terrible.
Great atmospheric and safe pub for pre or interval drinks when attending a performance at The Abbey, the owner runs a strict Covid policy.
Excellent city pub with a great local feel. Had gone prior to reading any reviews and was greeted with a warm smile and a fine pint of Guinness. Had 3 visits over 3 days and each was superb, as were the drinks on each occasion....Not pretentious, not elaborate, not a wine bar, just a fantastic pub.More
A perfect watering hole after a great day/night in Dublin on ‘The Black Stuff’ ! Very local feel - yet made very welcome. Bar man was so friendly.
Would highly recommend stopping in here for a few beers if Temple area is too full for you. Very welcoming and friendly really well priced, Robbie made our trip all the more enjoyable what a guy.
