Always call into Grogans when I'm back in Dublin. Old world charm and perfect pints of Guinness. Never change, please never change!
Went to this restaraunt with friends as none of us had been there in a few years. However the biggest regret we had was going there. We booked a table and were told upon arrival we would need to be gone within 2 hours. If...we had been told when we were making the booking via mobile we would've considered this sufficient. The staff were extremely pushy and rude throughout our meal, and actually cleared some plates off the table before some of us were even finished. This made us feel like we had to rush through our main course. The manager was also very rude. Will definitely not come back in a hurry.More
Great atmosphere, loved the artwork. Cheap prices compared to other places, and a damned fine pint of Guinness. I will be going back.
If you like ham and cheese toasties like you used to get in the 1970s, faux literary types all talking too loudly in a bid to impress total strangers and the worst art I have ever seen hanging anywhere except in a creche then you...will absolutely love this place... we didn't and left after a pint.More
If you are looking for authentic pub experience with an amazing Guinness and almost like a home made ham & cheese - Grogan's is the right place for you. Very popular spot for locals and tourists too. It's also one of the oldest Dublin's pubs....Went there several times, atmosphere was fab. It was closed since the lock down and did not re-open during August. Hopefully, it will be back soon. #DublinMore
I love Grogan's pub, it captures everything that's good about Ireland. Friendly staff and great Guinness. Although no cards is a shame, they at least make it easy for you to get cash with a machine in the bar. Don't let this turn you off...though, grab a pint and a toastie and you'll be set. Put it top of your list if visiting DublinMore
It's a pub that trusts that you will go get the cash. So I've ordered food and beer not realising they ONLY Take CASH. But they also let you take your pints and go get the cash after. Which is amazing when your dying for...you pint and toastie. One of the best in Dublin Grogan's is Dog friendly, tourist friendly, local friendly. Everyone is welcomed here as long as you drink a pint of something Hahaha. . . don't pass it without going in for one!More
Great bar staff with a friendly atmosphere. Lovely to have a pint and watch the world go by outside. Only takes cash but there is an atm beside the bar!
It's really nice, cozy place. The service was really good, great beer and the best toastie I ever had. I didn´t feel like a tourist and that is pretty unique feeling in Dublin. I highly recommend this place.
Grogans is a old fashioned pub in the center of Dublin city. It's just a basic pub to experience old style Dublin. They sell basic pub food with better prices on beers
Very surprised that this pub only accepts cash? Isn’t that a little dodgy? I mean, I would understand if it was a small place in the middle of nowhere, but this is Dublin city!
Recently had a day out in the city with friends. We had so many plans to go on a pub crawl, Grogans was our 3rd stop and we never left!! We sat outside, people watching and chatting to other customers. Very welcoming staff and the...pints were delicious. Can't wait to be back!More
If you like having a stale sandwich and being stared at by mongs sitting around the edge of a hell hole this is your eutopia. There is nothing i like more than standing under a nineteen sixties air con that has not been cleaned since...it was installed. The sandwiches looked like the ham could do a service if ever the sole of my shoes were in disrepair. It is no wonder a whole pot of mustard is served with the stale, boring menu. The art work is a poor mans primary school display.More
