Great place! The food was pretty average but the environment and the atmosphere was simply perfect! Service was good and friendly.
They have put in long tall tables and benches, which are ridiculous in a classic cafe. Looks like a cross between a beer garden and an American sports bar. What a shame for this Art Nouveau gem.
A cramped but friendly brasserie, an obvious installation for several decades for good reason. A great choice for a traditional French lunch. The duck and foie gras burger was fantastic!
If you are looking for a unpretentious brasserie appreciated by locals, we can suggest L'Armagnac, a tiny bar/restaurant next to Charonne metro station. The offer is wide, dishes are prepared with cure and pretty generous for Parisian standards. You can find traditional food and well prepared snacks and salads. Very efficient staff and affordable prices.
Everytime when I goto Paris I goto l'Armagnac. Service is friendly, food is perfect and price is good. Last time we were with six, the waiter asked a couple if they wanted to switch places so we could sit more comfortable. Friendly service and the food tastes really good. Especially the tartare de bœuf cru.

I went with my boyfriend. I had the most delicious spaghetti with salmon and he had an entrecôte , which he liked very much. The wine we chose was very good too. Only drawback was that every drink served after 11am (I think) was over-priced, so we payed some glasses of wine too much.
We popped in to this restaurant, just round the corner from our hotel, out of convenience more than anything else. We were really pleased with the outcome.
