A revisit to a restaurant which we found only ok last time (see review July 2011). This time it was a wonderful evening, despite a large boorish english table nearby, laughing loudly at every opportunity. The service was excellent, the two waitresses work so hard and efficiently in such a pleasant manner and the food and atmosphere were faultless. We... More

We went to this restaurant as it was ranked high on Trip Advisor, and did not regret it. The atmosphere is very nice, although slightly packed. The waitresses provide warm welcome and great service. We had perfectly fresh oysters, fresh and nicely cooked fish, with a desert, for 19 euros. Fantastic value for money in touristic spot like Honfleur. The... More

We loved Au Bouillon Normand, so much so we ate there 3 times during our break to Honfleur! The location was perfect, decor was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful, there were a number of menus to choose from and we ate from both the 16 and 24 euro options across the 3 nights. Now for the... More

Great location, very very good atmosphere. It is a small cozy place, not pretencious, comfortable chairs, good tables and cutilery. Clean toilet. Service was excelent. The waitress was pleasant, always smiling. She replaced our water and bread when they were over. Food was also very good. We took a 14.00 euros menu which included entree, main course and a coffee.... More

We were here during scallop season and probably had the best ever here. I just wish there were a few vegetables with the dinner and it would have been perfect

We chose this restaurant for a birthday celebration on the recommendation of locals . With a large table (25 people) of French baby boomers on a Friday night the dining room was buzzing , but entirely comfortable for the tables of twos. We had the 28 euro menus and a bottle of Lalande de Pomerol (38 euro) . The food... More

Recommended by Rick Steve's and we agree. On a small square off the beaten path but only by a short block.. Very good local food, good service and reasonable prices. Only 2 fixed price menus at lunch on a Friday afternoon, 20 and 28 euros. Very good food, cozy atmosphere and good service. Mostly locals who should know the best... More

Cozy atmosphere on pretty little square next to the basin. Reasonable prices, excellent presentation and service. The mussels were fantastic, salmon perfectly cooked, local desert of apple aspic and calvados brandy outstanding. Highly recommend.

It's a very pleasant looking restaurant. The food is nicely portioned and looks attractive on the plate. Fish was cooked perfectly. For me it lacks atmosphere although very pretty. The tables for two were so close (6 inches apart at best) that we wondered it would be polite to introduce ourselves to our neighbours or should we sit pretending that... More

This restaurant provides very good food at a reasonable price in a cosy very french way. The dorade (John dory), was perfectly cooked as were the vegetables. Good house wine all served by a busy but very pleasant lady.
