Exquisite food in a beautiful restaurant. Delicious menu. Not so expensive (€90). Verry nice (but expensive) winelist
It's always nice to combine a city trip with a dinner in a michelin star restaurant. And there was quite a choice in Nice. The location at the Negresco hotel is wonderful altough I'm not a fan of the modern art that is displayed in this hotel. The Chantecler however stays true to the grandeur of yesteryears. We went for... More
We decided to splurge on the last evening of our eight day stay in Nice. As one would expect from a restaurant with such a high accreditation and reputation the food at Le Chantecler was outstanding. We went a la carte. The first surprise was to find Dublin Bay prawns on the menu and my friend ordered these. The crab... More
A classy French restaurant in a historical hotel. We went there for sunday lunch, I ordered Le Menu Plaisir, my husband ordered from a la carte menu. Good service from the minute we sat down to when we left the table. The dishes were beautifully presented. especially, the crab and mango cannellonis, a starter from a la carte menu, it... More
Sampled 'Le Menu Plaisir' on a hot Sunday afternoon in early October. Attentive waiters, delicious food and alternative decor! The price was reasonable, given the amount of food and variety of wine included. Wondering around the hotel afterwards was an additional pleasure. Would highly recommend. The desserts are spectacular!
We went for the le chantecler menu which is a set menu for €90 each.. 4 courses served. From the moment you entered into The Negresco you felt so looked after.. Even to the point when you stood up and went to the toilet, you had your napkin folded neatly by your plate and there was someone waiting to assisted... More
Negresco in Nice is a regarded as a national treasure in France, on a par with George V in Paris, or the Ritz in London. Le Chantecler is the primary restaurant in Hotel Negresco. The service is exquisite, with wine waiters, and at least two other waiters who are there to attend to your every command, without ever being intrusive.... More
Le Chantecler have a special menu on Sundays, The menu Plaisir. It is not cheap but quite in the range for a special occasion. It is a superb menu which four of us enjoyed last month. The quality and style of presentation is unsurpassed and of course the surroundings are first class. Highly recommended for that special lunch.
But we did yesterday. We we're not disappointed. 1 year on, Le Menu Plaisir for Sunday lunch was as interesting, delicious and great value as last year. We both went for Tuna followed by Duck, then shared the Chocolate and Lemon deserts. Very tasty. It's a great dining room in a fantastic hotel. Great service which felt like friendly 2... More
Had a wonderful meal for our 10th wedding anniversary. Service exceptional, food and wine superb. Very good use of seasonal ingredients and everything cooked and seasoned perfectly. Had the menu degustation with wine pairings and were not disappointed. All the staff were brilliant. would return in a heartbeat.
