We wanted great beer, spaetzle, and schnitzle like we knew to find it in Germany. This place offered it all, along with a comfortable atmosphere and good location to do people-watching. The waiters are friendly and relaxed. The food didn't blow me away like a culinary masterpiece, but I wouldn't say that's what we were looking for. If you want... More

If you want to have lunch or dinner in middle of downtown in Baden-Baden, having typical South german food, then you need to go there. During the Christmas period, their small garden where you can sit outside in the summer, is fully decorated ... like a dream for ever child. Take the time to visit !

Located in the heart of historical Baden Baden, Lowenvrau is the right place for a dinner with friends. The outside courtyard was very lovely but the weather was too cold and so it was closed. The inner dining room has a nice and friendly atmosphere. Wiener Schnitzel was very good and also the Hot Apple Strudel was fabulous! The beer... More

We arrived in Baden-Baden from France in the mid-afternoon and once we got checked into our hotel, we went in search of German beer and snacks to tide us over until dinner. We wandered into the Lowenbrau mainly because we recognized the name. It was very cold outside, so the biergarten was not an option. At that time of the... More

Always a favourite when visiting Baden Baden. The quality of the food is always equal and always good. The beer is... well... Löwenbrau, and it is a good beer too. Avoid the first room as it is a smoking room and as you have to walk through it, the waiter will try to have you sit there. The veranda is... More

If your a first timer to Germany then you will enjoy this cute place for sure(unless your vegetarian other wise your in trouble)! Food is good but the Lingon Berry sauce for the Schnitzel is AMAZING! Although there Apple Strudel was disappointing. Beer wise I recommend the Premium Pils & the Triumphator, go easy on the Triumphator thou as it... More

Nice atmosphere, it was great to have the option of dining rooms. Our waiter had a good sense of humour and the place had a friendly atmosphere. The food was nice, big portions and reasonably priced.

I live in Germany, so have gotten to experience a lot of restaurants. Unfortunately, the food here is marginal and overly priced. The beer of course is GREAT. I had the beer soup which was literally French Onion Soup without the cheese. It was marginal. My meal was a roasted port with cabbage, gravy, and a potato dumpling..all marginal. The... More

Very nice place, with great decorations in December- January. Very nice meat and smashed potato. Prices are a bit higher, but it is a good value of money.

I hit this place up anytime i'm within 500 miles of it, mouth watering schweinsbraten, potato dumplings, rosti, and it's beer of coarse but I was a little suprised when we went there and got there house reisling that was dry and amazing I'll never look at reisling the same again. my vegetarian girlfriend even loves it, the decor is...
