Description: World-class! Simply brilliant! Breathtaking! The praise of the well-to-do gourmet knows no bounds at this classic gourmet restaurant without airs and graces. Kitchen guru Hans Haas seduces his guests with clearly composed dishes, the best of ingredients and harmonious combinations. He works side by side with fantastic sommelière Paula Bosch who watches over 700 fine wines and whose advice you can trust 100 percent. Conclusion: pure pleasure in a great 1970s-style atmosphere - with rich red and voluptuously daring shapes.

My wife and I dined here for our anniversary and went for the 5-course tasting menu, including the wine recommendations and it was brilliant. One point to note, I reserved this restaurant via email and they did ask for a deposit before the reservation was confirmed. The design and decor sets the mood and the waiters are very polished and... More

let me start with the positives, great service and funky restaurant design that was fun. we ordered the 5 course tasting menu with paired wines. food and pairings were solid but nothing amazing. at this price point you just need to execute to a much higher standard and the consensus was this did not deliver. too bad, we did a... Tantris is a classic restaurant. It is not "only" a restaurant that has 2 michelin stars. It is an "institution" in Munich and one of the best restaurants in Germany. The decoration is still on the line of the 70s but of course new. We found it amazing. The food was great, but classic. Saying that, do not expect many... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Tantris in May 2013. The restaurant itself is easy to find. The decor may not be for everyone, but we didn't mind it. The servers were very courteous, and we were escorted to our table. We had the 8-course tasting menu. The portions are very generous, from the amuse bouche... More

Although expensive it's a fantastic restaurant. The food is really great, from the starts to the coffee, everything was perfect. The service is excellent, they have a great staff who speak English and are very cordial and efficient. Wonderful. A must go.

Wonderful. Everything: Food, Service, Ambiance. On of the best restaurants in Munich for years and years already, and not for nothing. Might be difficult to get a table short term.

But first about the food. This is a Michelin two star, which means my expectations (or better: demands) are extremely high. In my experience, most two star restaurants don't distinguish themselves enough from the one stars to justify the hefty extra price. Tantris definitely does. We took the large tasting menu which was subtle, surprising, delightful. I remember a lovely... More

We had a long weekend in Munich last year and it rained most of the time. Munich however was a joy and the highlight of the trip was the Tantris. We have dined in Michelin 1* 2* and 3* restaurants and the Tantris certainly deserved it's rating. The food and service were superb, but what stood out was that on... More

Lovely food and great service. The bill was very high but to be honest, they deserved it. Really good food.

This is not really the sort of place i would go every weekend but as a treat it is fantastic. AMAZING food, wonderful service and lovely atmosphere. We opted for the 8 course full taster menu and did not regret it. A must to go if you want a treat.
