Great pintxos and super friendly staff, they helped with recommendations and descriptions and even told us when to come back for some pintxos that had already ran out. We sat outside so didnt have to fight crowds, order at bar and the brought it all out. Friends that were traveling with us actually went back they liked it so much.
It was hot, crowded, and loud. We stood at the wood bar, getting jostled and having plates passed over us. It is a raucous, fun experience if you're into it -- but it's not going to be fun if you're not.
Then, the food. Just blow-your-hair-back excellent. Perfectly cooked, tender, fried squid, served piping hot and salty with mayonnaise and...

It's easy to resort to hyperbole after visiting a place like this. But the level of dish being served is phenomenal. Something as unusual as pig's ear is served here and is very tasty. My favourite is the mini steak. Simply mind blowing. I can't recommend this highly enough...
great pinxtos, a little pricey but worth it! i cant wait to go back! the owners are so nice, and speak enough english to help you if you dont know any spanish!
Creative cooking in la parte vieja, San Sebastian. We had lovely pig sucklings (very similar to norwegian christmast dish "ribbe") and grilled octopus, which was superb, among other plates. The pigs feet were a little bit too fatty for our taste. 44 € for 4 medium dishes of creative cooking and a bottle of wine is acceptable.
This was my second pintxos crawl in San Sebastion where I crown and review the best place, and this bar was the winner. My objective was to eat things that I would never order at home as a way to expand my food experience. There were two of us dining for lunch, and we visited 4 pintxos bars, and shared...

We were excited about trying this bar due to the excellent reviews. It was already full when we arrived at 8.20pm and we shared an outside bench with another diner. It was far more expensive than the other reviewers suggested - either €9 or €13 per dish, depending on the portion size. Have they put their prices up in response...

We booked a table for Saturday night. Had a brilliant meal of deep fried prawns ,clam croquette. The high lite was the prawn risotto and the platter of pork Josephino grand reserve served with toasted bread with fresh tomato . Delicious . Menu in English. Waitress very helpful.very modern surroundings. A great change after pinto bars.
Although the style of cooking was quite similar (with rock salt, pesto), the pinxto we tried (octopus, steak, scallop) were all really tasty and the ingredients were very fresh !
