Very good food, good ambiance and best cocktails. Not really expensive. The service was quite good. The only problem was that it was so hot while you are waiting for a table.
We were initially a group of 10 people meeting for dinner, but the restaurant was flexible enough to seat an 11th person at one of the ends despite the crowded area. The food is a fusion of various typical Latin American cuisines, with some Peruvian, Colombian and Venezuelan flavors and a large variety of good Spanish wines and international spirits... More
Came here on my trip to Madrid by accident. We were walking by the streets and ended up seeing it and decided to make a reservation and give it a try. For our surprise everything was amazing!!! We ordered 2 types of ceviche and being from Mexico did not expect much but wow we were wrong, they were just perfect... More
After many hours of strolling the upscale shopping area of Chueca, we stumbled into this wonderful latin fusion restaurant upon the recommendation of some of the local salesclerks. This was a truly outstanding meal. We love Latin fusion food. For example, food hailing from the Yucatán, Peru, the Caribbean, etc. arepas, ropa viejo, ceviches, tiraditos, and more. The specialty cocktails... More
I really recommend the place for its cocktails but the food as well is delicious! Just make sure you don't take a 'to share' before your main course beause it's quiet a lot
We had dinner in La Candelita on friday night; we reserved based on my needs for venezuelan food (considering I am from Caracas :op ). So, we had a couple of maracuya ginger daiquiris which were awesome! Food was lovely, we went for the tequeños, they tasted very similar to what you get in Venezuela; then we had empanaditas...which were... More
Nice combination of cocktail bar and restaurant. One would expect a relaxed atmosphere, but the service was rushed through too fast. We only just started our cocktails when starters came. Staff was okay. Friendly and nice, but didn't speak much English.
Lovely place excellent ambience and cool and hip people In a very trendy part of the city. The menu was varied and offered a taste of Latin American with a sophisticated European touch and Spanish flavored. The staff is attentive and very nice. A must visit while in Madrid
Nice place, great drinks! However, the kitchen was not yet open that afternoon. Tried a couple of different drinks that I really enjoyed, one of them was the passion fruit mojito. The place has good touch on decoration, plenty of space and I will visit again to try the food. Cheers!
We had just arrived in Madrid, were hungry, were wandering around the neighborhood but getting discouraged because it was August in Madrid and many, many places were closed for vacation. We stumbled onto La Candelita, it was early and the kitchen not yet open but the staff was wonderful -- sat us down, let us order wine. The meal we... More
