This is a cut above the regular tourist traps. A great spot for a romantic evening or with a group of friends.
Despite nice location and a beautiful view our 17 wedding anniversary was a total fiasko. The hedwaiter in this restaurant should not be working with people at all. We where to adult couples - which one of us is an well known chef and restaurant-owner - who was totally chocked by the total lack of service. Hospitality was changed with... More
After wallowing in some less than satisfactory tourist experiences (that nonetheless cost us a bomb), this was a classy experience shared with friends, so in the end, no resentment on having to shell out the bucks. Little touches like the quality of the bread and a little teaser of cheese dribbled with honey spelled out that we were going to... More
Looking forward to returning to this restaurant - the view is amazing over Rome - just up from Piazza del Popolo and close to Borghese Park. The service was very good, attentive and polite staff, the food was delicious and wine list reasonable and extensive enough. Definitely recommend.
When dining at a supreme location such as "Casina Valadier" has it is natural to expect an over-priced culinary disaster coupled with short-tempered and snobbish service. I'm not sure how or why but this restaurant, which enjoy one of the most beautiful and delightful locations in a city full of beauty, does everything right. Set on the 2nd floor of... More
It should be the diner for your trip for a romantic tete a tete. Be aware that every dish is around 25 euros and nice long wine list. Location is stunnning a traditional villa in a small park you feel like home...
Loved this place, food is awesome and very very romantic. Very expensive, but worthwhile in Rome for a special occasion
This restaurant is in the area of Villa Borghese. It has spectacular views of Rome and is set in the a very pretty early 20th century villa. I was there for a big work function so I had to stick with a set menu. The starter and pasta dish were very nice and the beef for main course was beautifully... More
This venue is top notch. The view of Rome is fantastic. First course was a cavatelli pasta with shrimp, which was well prepared, if a little bland. Main course was a very tender bistecca fiorentina. The trio of sorbets for dessert was refreshing. We had a large group (occupying the entire third floor) and the wait staff struggled to keep... More
The view from this restaurant over Rome is simply magnificent. The villa itself is very nice as well. It is therefore particularly unfortunate that you really have to focus on the view in order to avoid being distracted by the flawed service and mediocre cuisine. We were with a small group of four. It took about 20 minutes for them... More
