Nestled in the charming Trastesvere neighborhood, Antica Trattoria Da Carlone is a traditional Italian gem. Expect slow service, especially with ordering (we almost left before putting our order in it took so long) but once you order food flies out pretty quickly. We were definitely happy we waited it out. The carbonara is absolutely delicious and the tiramisu was a... More

Coming there at the end of lunch time, you realize you're in a family restaurant. The grandfather is the server, the mamma is in the kitchen and the uncle plays with the kid on a table close to the kitchen. Service is slack. Nobody is in a hurry there, so it took a while to get our pasta. But they... More

The best pasta we ever had! We went here for lunch at our last day in Rome, and just had to go back for dinner! The Carbonara is the best we ever tasted! try it! The matericiana was also great. We will be back next time we`re in Rome!

I was in the restaurant with some friend of us and we eat the best pasta carbonara, matriciana I ever eat. Excellent food, the staff very friendly.

While on our honeymoon my wife and I ate here at least three times during the week we stayed in Rome. The pasta was excellent, other mains and dessert were perfection with good table wine. I had the best roast Lamb I have ever had there. The staff we found to be friendly and very helpful. Always order wine as... More

My husband and I found this while we were wondering through the Trastevere area. We were able to set outside in the shade, which was a nice break from the sun. A man greeted us and informed us of the special and that was what we ordered. It was one of our favorite lunches in rome. The dish was gnocchi... More

None of the dishes were bad, and one (walnut and pecorino pasta) was great, but all in all not a great place. We were there off season, and the staff were friendly but tired, and the food was very uneven. I think this is probably a great place to get pasta and red wine outdoors in summer, but it's not... My husband and I went here on our first night of our honeymoon and loved the experience! We were able to sit outside on this little street and really soak in being in Rome. The carbonara and the osso bucco were wonderful! We really enjoyed our experience here and loved that we randomly found it while walking the streets in... More

Been in Rome 3 months and this was by far the most forgettable meal. Abrupt service, plastic menus and grungy dining room. Food was fine, but nothing special. There are plenty of better places in Trastevere to dine, so choose one of those.

We came here on the advice of trip adviser. And what good advice it was the pasta was very nice and the dolci was unctuous. We liked it so much we tried to go back the next day but it was full :-(.
