We happened to pass this place when we found out our normal pizza place was closed for holiday. We really enjoyed it! They were friendly, the food was good and we all agreed we would return.
Very nice family owned restaurant, delicious food and good service, not overpriced. The chef seems to be really good one having its own style.
ON a bit of a side street, but not hard to find. Service friendly (there was a family with little kids and they had an easel with pen and paper to let her draw and stay distracted while waiting for dinner). Strangely enough they asked us if we wanted the restaurant or pizzeria. We said we weren't sure - I... More

Tucked away down a narrow side street in the old quarter of Siracusa is the Caravaggio restaurant and pizzeria. It is ground floor and is decorated and furnished in simple but traditional style, sympathetic with the surroundings. We enjoyed various very tasty pizza choices which were of the thin based variety and quite large, one could be shared. Service was... More
We were walking in the area and sat at one of their outside tables around the corner from the main doors. The meal was tasty and ingredients fresh. Had an off the menu request and it wasn't a problem. The service was very good, very attentive without being intrusive. The meal was not expensive at all and we left feeling... More
It was definitely the best restaurant which we managed to visit in Syracuse. The cuisine in Caravaggio is perfect. I was surprised then the chief cooked specially for me the dish which was not mentioned in the menu. The owner of the restaurant is extremely friendly and helpful person. Whenever we have an opportunity to come back to Syracuse we... More
Long to get served despite an empty room. Beer was warm and not changed when we make them aware of it. No smile. Fortunately pizzas were fairly good.
A local recommended this pizzeria/ristorante. Tucked away along the twisted narrow alleyways, good food and great service at reasonable prices. Micele our waiter spoke very good English, giving us a sip of his homemade limoncello (very good, not too alcoholic like others we've tasted) before giving us the recipe. Some meals were unavailable, but there were other deliciious meals to... More
We had lunch here on a very hot day. When we entered the restaurant at 1PM we were the only customers which is always a bit scary. Pizza was quite good, although a bit loaded on the cheese side. Child size pizza for kids was perfect size and nice to have. Salads were mediocre with industrially source ingredients. Service very... More
I realise that others have had a good experience here but we went tonight and it was really not upto scratch. We got there at 8:30 and there were only 2 other diners. One of the pasta dishes we ordered was already not available. The antipasti was fine but we had to wait so long for the main course. Mine... More
