We arrived late at our villa and were recommended to eat here. I wish we had done, rather than waiting until the next night. So friendly and beautiful food too. Our friends married here on the island the previous day and for our last night of the family and friends holiday we suggested they come up to this restaurant. I... More

Alfio and his staff know how to look after people. The location and views are superb. Even though we did not have a reservation we were royally treated. The meal was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere second to none. It was so memorable my husband was inspired to make this restaurant one of the subjects of his drawings which he... More

Tonight we took a taxi to what seemed like the top of the world ... Al Saraceno overlooking Taormina with Mt. Etna looming in the background. The owner, Alfio, immediately welcomed us as if entering his home. The small wait staff were all very friendly, efficient and attentive. We enjoyed the full range of food and beverages ... their recommendations... More

We so much wanted to enjoy this restaurant, it was a short walk from our hotel and we would have frequented it several times during our stay in Taormina had it been nice, but it wasn't. The service was appalling, from having to request a menu having been plonked at a table and ignored to having dishes removed from our... More

We arrived late on Sunday afternoon at Hotel Villa Angela on Leonardo Da Vinci and had no idea what we were going to do for dinner as the hotel was B&B only. Attended the Thomson meeting 20 minutes after it started as we arrived so late, only to hear the rep Shye say about the restaurant up the road. Being... More

We visited three times during a stay at Villa Angela, just down the road. It has a fabulous view of Mount Etna, and an upstairs terrace which was not open during the week we stayed, but I imagine the view is even better up there! The owner is a real character, he works tirelessly to keep customers happy, as do... More

We saw this place from our hotel room balcony and were curious... walked past it to walk down to Taormina town, then a friend sent us a text saying we had to go to a certain restaurant called Al Saraceno because they loved it! Then we realised it was the restaurant we were curious about! As we were meeting up... More

We stayed at Hotel Villa Angela, overlooking the town of Taormina. Above us, even higher up was this restaurant with a view like no where else on earth. Turned out the view was secondary to the incredible food being prepared here and the friendliness of everyone who worked there. The owner was so charming you would go there even if... More

This place was right by our hotel unfortunately it wasn't warm enough yet to sit outside but the view is awesome at the top of the hill. Pizza was up there with the best during our trip to italy. Price was a little above average but nothing in Taormina is cheap.

Stunning location and delicious, good value food were not taken for granted by excellent staff who were helpful and attentive. The antipasti were good for sharing, and the pizzas very large but of the best quality. Desserts were more varied than in many other local restaurants - try the soufflé of the day or the ricotta cream.
