We were staying at a local B&B a few doors down (80 Via Gallo). The owner of the b&b told us to try the night before but when we showed up at 9:45 they asked us if we had reservations.. Place was mobbed..(Locals mostly.). We had to get a early reservation at 8PM..(Love Italians..He apologized because he could only give... More

Our hotel managed to get our party of four a reservation on a Saturday evening and we took what was available: in at 19.00h and advised we had to give up the table by 21.15. No problem! We're old so we don't linger; life might pass us by! This is a funky restaurant that defies typical trattoria but the menu... More

You go here to eat rare florentine steak (steak with the bone). It's pink, juicy and succulent. and very very rare. they have other options on the menu (pastas, salads, etc.). loved it.

Dear Rick Steves, We just returned from a wonderful Italy vacation and can honestly say that using your books and audio tours made it an exceptional experience. We managed to squeeze in Rome, Florence and Venice in a short 9 days and loved every minute. This was our first trip to Italy, so we were determined to hit all of... More

Dear Wayne and Vikki, Dear Rick I have NOT so many words to spend about it. What can I say about someone go to a place and want to spoile the athmosphere?? This is a place for locals (after 9,00 Pm. As in Florentine style) And for travellers "IN THE KNOW"!!! Certainly NOT for turists want to find home far... More

We learned of Tito's thru Rick Steves travel book and TV show. We were in a corner of the restaurant in a configuration of four tables in a line of which ours was one. We noticed the table to our left was speaking in English. So we started up a conversation. Shortly the two tables to the right also joined... More

We went based on the below reviews to be disappointed by one of our meals. The rabbit was excellent and cooked really well (rating of 4.5) however, when it came to the beef stew it was extremely disappointing and verging on inedible (rating of 1 at best) due to my fork bouncing off it like rubber and flicking sauce on... Sorry I know real Florentine kitchen is hard to understand for whom have the habit to hamburgers with ketchup and maionaise, but it could be auspicable having a little culinary culture before choosing a place for dinner or the own order. The Stew beef with Onions MUST BE PREPARED WITH FAT PEACES!!! That's the recipe!!! What can We do?? Changing... More

Tito's is a must stop when in Florence. North of the the historic area, there are mostly locals with family and kids. Not only was the food and the wine outstanding but the service was great and atmosphere welcoming.

Three sets of customers complained about the loud music ( not that loud). The restaurants policy is lively and loud giving way to its great atmosphere, its advertised as being so. Because of these people music was turned off and atmosphere was spoiled! I would never dream of going to a place and being as arrogant as to complain about... More
