Seems authentic, but don't know about the green mint. Gelato was pretty good (had better and had worse). Overall, very good place for Gelato.
Great Gelato. Creamy and wonderful. Maybe the best and definitely in the top 3 gelateria in florence.
I was really excited about visiting Gelateria Dei Neri but unfortunately I was disappointed in both the gelato and the service. I'll start by saying that my problem with the gelato was probably mostly due to me choosing the wrong flavors which is why I didn't deduct too many points. I got the Rose and Marscapone. I usually like both... More
This is the best gelateria in Florence easily. I love this place! It is near the Uffizi but, not too close that there are a lot of crowds. I highly recommend this place. I had to use self control to not eat there every day I studied there.
Located on Via dei Neri this is a convenient stop for gelato after exploring the Piazza Signoria, the Uffizi, or after having a great panino on the same road (at All Antico Vinnaio). Portions are on the small side. Many flavors to choose from.
This trip we went to Gelateria de Neri twice; both times the surliness of the helper detracted from the experience. The gelato is good, especially mandarino and the chocolate is rich and dark. But there are lots of choices in Florence and I would choose a spot where they deliver your coppo with a smile.
We followed TA's advice to try this. Tried rice (riso) and dark chocolate favourites, they are a bit too sweet for us. As there are so many gelateria in Florence, we will prefer to try others next time.
