Hitzberger is a chain of take away restaurants, I have been to two in the Zurich area and one in Basel. Food pretty good, prices normal for Switzerland.
Zürich's answer to the Healthy/vegetarian- friendly/fair trade/organically grown fast-food trend. Wraps and sandwiches with extremely fresh vegetables, home-grown herbs, fair-trade mayonnaise and no additives, preservatives, taste enhancers and E-colorings whatsoever. The service was quick, the food was decent. I was happy to see good vegetarian options, which is not always easy to find in Switzerland.
I'm not quite sure why they insist on heating up all wraps and sandwiches at Hitzberger - hot lettuce apparently not having taken off elsewhere, but if you try their salads you can't go wrong. yes, that exists and it's called Hitzberger. Wraps are tasty, freshly prepared, made with good-quality ingredients. Salad sauce and home-made ice tea are also good. Everything is served in environment-friendly packages
You have to cue, so the food must be awesome. And it is quite good, actually. Nevertheless I think the food is overpriced: 10 francs for a thai chicken soup (small) is a lot. You have to accept that you don't just pay for your food, but also for the brand.
