The special coffees are over priced, not at all worth the money. But at least one can "enjoy" them outside as there is a small terrace.
What kind of establishment welcomes a guest by shouting at the entrance? Cafe Brahe does so... I was recently visiting Turku on a business trip and on thursday afternoon I was going to have a cafe with my collague in cafe Brahe. There is a small terrace with tables and chairs outside, even in winter time when it is freezing... More
Thank you for your feedback. Our small terrace is indeed smokefree (no ashtrays on the tables) due numerous requests of out non-smoking patrons. Smoke travels easily to tables nearby and irritates non-smokers. I agree with you that should have been presented in courteous manner and tackfully. My sincere apologies, Also exemption should have been made for you, since out terrace... More
The dessert are really big... and very sugary. It is quite pricy, but you can easily share a muffin with someone else, as it is big, and as I already said, very sweet.
This place has huge muffins, cakes and other sweet pastries (also salads, sandwiches...), too big for one (well maybe muffins and some cakes are ok) but ideal for sharing. Coffees are great. Place on Yliopistonkatu is quite small and often packed but there is another one in Thalia nearby. This smaller place is cosy, Thalia is very noisy and not... More

while not to everyones taste (or budget) this is more of a cultural experience though I must admit the massive chocolate muffin was fantastically tasty. Grab a coffee, something sweet and enjoy a terrace table and watch the shopping elite of Turku strut their stuff.
Salmon salad by no means to die for, but what can you expect when these salad bar type offerings pop up here and there these days.
Too many loud kids who are killing any conversation.
Wrong music, too loud, otherwise a great cafe!!
THE place to go when you fancy something sweet!
