After coffee at Refets and a walk around the shops, enjoy visiting the Abbey next door, and then sit down to the great mezes with a glass of wine, in Kybele
Situated just across the abbey convenient spot to eat or drink. Sitting in the terrace gives you fabulous views. Service is excellent and very professional. Reasonable prices
We dined on three occasions at this restaurant and had no problems whatsoever. Service was good the food excellent with a good choice for veggies, unlike a lot of locations. We dined out on two visits and indoors on one (due to a howling gale). They also collect and return to Kyrenia free of charge.
We reserved the table on the balcony which has stunning views of the sea, mountains & Abbey. A perfect place to watch the sun go down. It soon got chilly & rather windy, so the staff brought us lovely warm shawls, without asking & moved us to a table sheltered from the wind. Food & drink prices are extremely reasonable... More
My wife and I go often to the Kybele for Sunday lunch. Sitting outside in the grounds of the majestic Gothic Bellapais Abbey with stunning views of the Kyrenian Mountains and the sea is a wonderful experience. The food is excellent with no need for a starter as the pitta bread and olives "on the house" are very good. We... More
We have been coming here for many years and never disappointed. We choose the balcony table with views over the sea. The cold mezzes are excellent as are cigara borek and calamari. Service is friendly and welcoming. The setting can't be beaten! We keep coming back!
Stunning mountain setting by Bellapais Abbey. We arrived at 2,30pm and were seated at a table with a wonderful view overlooking Kyrenia and the sea, We were brought lovely warm flatbread with olives and dipping oil while we waited for our lunch to cook, We ordered 1 x seafood pasta. 1 x fillet steak and 1 x T-bone steak, The... First time ever we tried Kybele. The location is superb, looking out towards Kyrenia and the Med. The food was average, I had the meze, my wife a fillet steak. The meze was ok, nice enough but nothing to write home about. The fillet was ordered medium rare, so should have been nice and pink. Instead it was rare, bordering... More
Complimentary flat breads with the cheese and olives are delicious...steaks to die for. Tables can either face the Abbey which is illuminated on an evening or face the sea. The Sunsets are amazing.
Visited Bellapais Abbey and then had lunch here. Always a little sceptical about restaurants alongside main attractions, but this one was great value for money...good food too.
