Always busy with great atmosphere food is good, specials are always cracking. I'd say the best place in Barnstaple for sophisticated 'wine bar' type ambiance
We decided to have a meal before going to the cinema, the restaurant part wasn't open so we went into the bar where they offered Spanish style cuisine. Fully enjoyable experience. Great atmosphere, good choice on menu, great value for money with 6 dishes ad bottle of wine for £34.50 food was serviced in good time. Good life music on the bar attached to the restaurant.
My fiancée and I ate here for the first time and regretted that we had never been here before. We live locally and it just shows how much you should support your local businesses. The food and service was second to none. We absolutely loved it! Shall be eating there again soon!
Lovely location drew us in. The bar side seemed a bit 'pubby' but the arrival of the tapas soon changed our opinion! The special of butterfly sardine with tomato sauce was incredibly good - as good as anything we've had in Spain. Lovely aioli sauce with chicken and a super tortilla. And great value too. A credit to Barnstaple -... More
Food was fantastic, waitress was very helpful without being annoying, she didn't come up half way through a mouthful asking if everything was ok, she waited. Would I go back, hell yeh .....
Atmosphere good, front of house staff good product knowledge, grilled peppers lacking in taste & alioi only a mild mayo. White Romanian Sav blanc or Chenin blanc not sure, but a crisp & dry fab wine, a tad expensive a £5.10 a glass.
