My fiance and I had dinner here one night, were treated exceptionaly from the beginning. We were given a private balcony and helpful suggestions regarding the menu. The food was great, definitely recommend seafood rissoto. A really pleasant atmosphere, a lovely night out.

My wife and I stayed in Positano last week and chose Café Positano for our 1st Anniversary meal. It was so good we came back the next night. Great food. Great aspect. Excellent Service (which is saying something as the service we encounter everywhere in Italy is 1st Class). Benji was a great host and his staff were polite, non... More

I wish I'd noted the bad reviews for this restaurant before spending 60 euros on an apetizer of beef carpaccio, 7 grilled Scampi (which were not cooked particularly well) and half a house bottle of wine. The food was mediocre at best but the service....frankly would have been better in McDonalds. If you order a bottle of wine, it will... More

The food here is terrible. Same sauce for two completely different pastas. Pasta is over cooked, I guess tourists maybe won't notice? The gnocchi were terrible. Half a bottle of wine - bad wine - costs the same as a decent full bottle anywhere else. I don't usually write restaurant reviews unless they are outstanding or terrible. This one is... More

We were walking to the top of the hill and came upon this restaurant. What a great view, overlooking the town and water. Our waiter was delightful and made it all enjoyable. We sat there all afternoon with a bottle of wine (maybe 2), eating and taking in the atmosphere. When we left, we found a set of stairs that... More

The food was good, but I wouldn't make a special trip back for the food. But the view? Magnificent! I would return anytime to eat their "average" food in this Caffe set up on the side of a mountain, looking over the sea. The decor is simple but lovely, all sea blue and white. A beautiful, peaceful place to eat,... More

Good steep walk up the hill increased the appetite but not disappointed & 10% discount referral from Villa La Tartana...they will you up too if requested. Fun night with local seafood & home made pasta enjoyed by all together with delicious dessert all washed down with good selection of wines reasonably priced. View is fantastic for photos so go before... More

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Our hotel, Eden Roc, arranged the reservation and some complementary Proseco upon our arrival. Also a private car to transport us through the beautiful winding streets to the restaurant, perched on one of the cliffs with a spectacular view. Our food was amazing - including the Seafood Soup and incredible bread and... More

Not only did we not eat well, but the price of this restaurant is far over the average, for what you get. Service was kind and efficient but definetely the price is not worth what you eat.

We stopped here for lunch on our first day in Positano as it was a short distance from our hotel. We sat by the roadside as that was the only table available. We ordered a panini and coffee each. To be honest, we could have gotten away with ordering only one panini as it was really huge. The evening menu... More
