Too expensive, waiter could not speak English, only OK food, large, noisy. Make the effort and go out. There are better restaurants on the South Bank.

We stayed at the hotel, it was amazing. It is beyond 5 star But it lets itself down by the Melba Cafeteria. I found it no different to going to a smorgasbord, they have tried to put an upmarket slant on it by using words such as " workstations" . People were linng up 15 deep just to have naan...

Service was extremely slow even though they were not very busy. Food quality was very average for the prices they charge.
We enjoyed breakfast at Melba as part of our accommodation package at the Langham. Overall, the buffet breakfast did not disappoint. There is a large variety of cold and hot breakfast choices, including cereal, eggs cooked to order (can recommend the omelette) and then lots of sweet options including a chocolate fountain! Great venue for a larger group as food is buffet style and so diverse. Try an keep a little room for desserts as they are unbelievable....can't wait to come back
Really good selection loved the Indian curries and tandoori, excellent! There was a huge variety of food very fresh and nice, service was also good.
Went here after a balloon ride over the MCG. Must say it was the breakfast buffett ever!!! Im not even one for a buffett, however, this was stylish, delish and so attractive to the eye!! Yum.. from the chocolate fountain with marshmallows to the freshly made omlettes, you can not fault. Oh and the patisere section..... Need I say more
Love staying here, the service I have had has always been great, the food yum and the rooms clean. In a great part of Melbourne also.
What a magnificent setting our table overlooking the Yarra River felt very special. The selection of dishes and quality of food was fantastic. We were very well waited on with very pleasant staff. The only problem was we couldn't fit more in.
If you love buffets with minimal table service, do not dine here. I was a guest at the hotel and decided to give the restaurant a try based on reviews and the option of a la carte dining. Big mistake.
The food was fine, but the service dismal. Hard to get a second glass of wine, long wait for food....
