Consistent and reasonable fare! Love going for the bargain lunch! Service can be a bit sporadic but the food is good.
Went had lunch at Thai Siam and definately would have gone back for dinner if we stayed in Kaikoura longer. The food is lovely and very authentic. They have a Thai chef. We are quite fussy with Thai food and don't bother with restaurants that make it for the western pallet. The restaurant is nice inside and the staff were... More
opens at 5pm we went at 5.30pm and had efficent service and a tasty meal from large selection available.
Slow service, tough lamb shanks, watery salmon, stone in rice stick to Thai cusine
The food at Thai Siam is great and reasonably priced too. We went on a Saturday night and they had 2 waitresses and 1 chef so the service was slow - although they did tell us it would be. Didn't have dessert as the main course was quite enough but they did look good

The meal was good but don't go there expecting true authentic spicy Thai flavours, has... More
Staff friendly & helpful & attentive. Our starter was lovely (Spicey Chicken wings), unfortunately the main was not so good. It was OK but drowning in sauce (Ginger & Garlic Stirfry) & the taste a little bland. My view may be coloured having visited Thailand recently.
We have dined at Thai Siam at least once a week and have allways been happy with the staff and food,we go in as a happy couple ,they even place our byo bubbly in a ice bucket,we leave even happier. .Of cource its not all Thai food,we live in new zealand, Just be happy.
