we visited caffe Gianmario last week. we found there a pleasant and friendly environment. we had pizza ( very tasteful and kind of cheap) and then we enjoyed a perfect italian espresso. the owner also came to our table to ensure that everything was ok and have a small talk. i highly recomend caffe Gianmario to any budapest visitor

Very nice staff, very attentive and kind! The owner is very enthusiastic and like to speak with his visitors. They speak good English, at least the owner. Pasta and Pizza are very good like in Italy! Pizzas are thin as pasta "al dente". I recommend this place for Italian food lovers in Budapest.

I visited the caffe with a good friend who has already been a regular to this institution but I noticed that everyone is greeted very friendly. I also liked the interior, it is not overdecoratet, has just the right ammount of nice ictures on the wall . It is a bit tricky to get to the restroom but managable. But... More

Ended up here following great tripadvisor reviews after a long busy day in Budapest. Delicious pizza, we had the Diavolo and Quattro Staggioni. All the other Italian dishes looked great, place was buzzing. Regret not having a dessert, the zabaglione looked so tempting. Host/owner was a great chap, service great. This place is also super value, we had 2 pizzas,... More

One of the best pizzas I have had in a long time, perfect salami and base. The atmosphere is very authentic and usually full of italians. On the flip side, I was in a little bit of a hurry for lunch, and I thought I would get my pizza quickly, but it took about 40 mins. Other tables seemed to... More

We ate in at least 6 different Italian restaurants (all highly rated on tripadvisor) while in Budapest and this was by far the nicest one. The pizzas were as good as ive had anywhere. They work out at roughly 6 or 7 euro each. I also had spaghetti carbonara which was delicious (a hard dish to get nice). The staff... More

I'd heard a lot about GianMario before my visit, and I almost ran out of time in Budapest to make it - I'm glad I did! The food was delicious, the coffee was second-to-none, the atmosphere was cosy, and the staff all had constant smiles on their faces. I had a lengthy chat at the end with who I assume... More
