Very dark, bad smell, very slow service. Fries where bad. Food with no flavour at all. Been to other places like this in NYC or Canada and they are much fresh and best price.
Was pleasantly surprised by the food at Eli's. Large portions like a casual dining restaurant, but food is more polished, more carefully prepared, and nicely presented. Service was polite, but could've been more attentive. One complaint, though. The restaurant didn't seem to have any air-conditioning. I went there twice during the summer (once at the end of May and once... More
I liked it,, very delicious Falafel,, I took the combo,, the pita bread was really good and the salad full of flavor,, I think they add menthe in it,,, just as we do in Tunisia :)
I've eaten at Eli's numerous times on trips to Washington, and have also had meetings catered by them at law firms in the area. If you try any of the deli sandwiches, burgers, grilled chicken etc., you'll be very pleased to find such good quality kosher food in DC, something that shouldn't be taken for granted. I've also had the... More
Compared to NY City prices they were very reasonable. Service was very fast. Deli sandwiches, many different burgers. 2 blks from Dupont Circle Metro. Kosher & non will appreciate this place. Only problem was no air conditioning, only portable units
Don't let the generic interior fool you. This is a true glatt-kosher restaurant and deli, with Jewish delicacies from soup to nuts. I had the kosher chef salad, which was enormous and filled with high-quality meats like corned beef, pastrami, and smoked turkey. My husband had the daily special, which was a schawarma platter. It was so large that he... More
We went here for a family lunch. The service was excellent- I appreciated the little sippy cup they fashioned for my toddler. The sandwiches were phenomenal was wonderful toasted bread. Excellent!
Eli's welcomed our group of elementary school students and parents with short notice and served us delicious Kosher food. Large quantities, varied menu, great for medium sized groups (we were 22). Super location close to metro.
For a kosher restaurant, this was quite good. It's casual and comfortable with really good food and friendly servers. We ate there several times and enjoyed every visit.
