I had wanted to visit Citronelle for sometime. Finally, all the stars aligned and my wife and I appeared for a multicourse tasting menu with matched wines. Our expectations were at the level of Daniel or Le Bernardin. This sets the stage for what follows. The restaurant was busy even though we had a late reservation, potentially setting a nice... More

I fell in love Mr. Michel Richard at the opening of his restaurant at the Revel casino in.Atlantic City. The menu was limited but offered much of the same as Citronelle in DC. Dined at the DC location several times since then. PRO: chicken nuggets are amazing apps, drinks strong and tasteful, chicken and mash will blow you away (has... More

Food presentations are like works of art. Expensive, but worth every penny. The menu continually evolves, so there are always surprises that will satisfy all of your senses. In the heart of Georgetown....take a romantic stroll after diner.

Everything is wonderful. Ok, It is expensive but worth it. The service is impeccable and the food innovative and exquisite. Parking is horrible - do valet. Come on, parking in Georgetown? Don't forget the bread - the waiter very kindly gave us some to take home because we loved it so. Definitely a place for a very special dinner -... More

Washington and environs is blessed with many good restaurants, and even a few excellent ones. But year in and year out, Michel Richard turns out the most interesting and appetizing plates from his kitchen. Unfortunately, the restaurant is currently closed because of some water damage issues. We look forward to returning as soon as it reopens.

One of the things I enjoyed was the live entertainment on Fridays that seems to have disappeared. I understand the many would prefer to have their dinner in peace but the music and vocals made the exceptional dining experience an event rather than just a meal. I nany case you cant go wrong the kitchen is spot on, service is... More

I hardly ever hand out 5 stars...but I can here. I've been a few times and have loved it everytime. The food has been amazing and the atmosphere has been great. It's not one of those super high end places where you have to whisper and feels stuffy. Great place to celebrate, have a date or girls night out. I'm... More

Service was superb. Food was presented beautifully and tasted every bit as good as it looked. We had two young people in our party of 6 and they were treated with respect and not looked down upon.

For our 50th wedding anniversary, we chose to go to DC for a special 5 day weekend. We selected Citronelle for our special dinner on the night of our 50th. We booked reservations two months in advance on the phone -with a live person, giving our name, phone number, etc. and telling them it was for our 50th. On the... More
