I love the food at Matsu, we had a table of 12 and had tons of fun. Sushi is fantastic and service great.

I admit that I'm from San Diego where we have fresh sushi. Sushi Ota makes Mitsuhisa look like American food. The nigiri sushi we had at the sushi bar should have been delectable. It was tasteless. I even ordered Japanese uni as a splurge. I should have settled for regular. The price is prohibitive. We left before the hour was... More

We visit Aspen quite frequently and we adore Matsuhisa. Our favorite recommendation is to get there early (we have small kids) and sit in the bar on the couches. Service is awesome. Food is to die for. Sushi new style, ahi tacos, the bento box dessert. Everything is delicious. Our kids usually get the steak skewers and rice, but have... More

An example of the typical tourist haunt in Aspen, horrible and overpriced mediocre food. If you live in LA or NYC you will be horrified.

It is a bit pricey, but as most things in life it is worth the price. I love it. Every time I get some extra money me and my boyfriend go there. Great service and food!

Busy high energy place with a fun bar and open dining room. Chefs prepare food with such precision creating lovely sculptures and designs. Can always find had to get and unusual dishes here. Cost matches quality, you pay for what you get.

We always seem to go to Matsu when we are in Aspen, even though you have to take out another mortgage on your house to pay for it. The food is very, very good. They have a very nice selection of hot and cold sake. Service can be spotty, especially when they are very busy (not the case on 3/20,... More

If you are looking for a trendy upscale sushi restaurant in Aspen, you have to go to the best; Matsuhisa! I have been to Nebu in Miami Beach, Florida, which is the same owner, and I have to say , this experience was exceptional. The black cod was to die for, followed by many appetizers, one of which was the... More
