The high TA rating, a location within walking distance of our hotel, and a commendable purpose by training marginalized youngsters, all encouraged the four of us to ignore the evening heat and seek out the restaurant. Sitting outdoors in a most attractive setting with a large fan close by was perfect! Except for the temperature, we could have been back... More

We came here for lunch after Friends was closed for training, but it wasn't a big change of plans as we were planing to come here for dinner anyway. This was some of the best food we had in Cambodia and definitely the best in PP. This was the first place we ate in in Cambodia when we arrived and... More

A really unique menu at Romdeng, many Cambodian dishes that we have not seen at any other restaurant, including tarantula. We enjoyed the efficient service and the tasty well presented food, however we were disappointed that for a supposed training restaurant most of the serving staff were TRAINERS and not TRAINEES...

We sat out on the verandah on a warm evening and it was magical. We did try the fried tarantulas - some of us ate the whole thing and others tried a tiny speck. They brought around a live one for us to look at (and hold!). When we were there it seemed that it may have been a new... More

After our first 2 dining experiences in Phnom Penh being a let down Romdeng was excellent. The service was spot on, very efficient without being intrusive. The menu had a very interesting mix of Khmer food on it and all the meals we tried were presented professionally and tasted wonderful. We will be back before we leave to try out... More

Food was outstanding with interesting choices on the menu. All the dishes were well presented & tasted delicious. The environment was very tranquil in a hectic city. Service was delightful and all the students and teachers deserve success for their future.

My partner and I ordered the sour beef and morning glory soup, pumpkin amok, grilled fish with bean sprout pickle, banana peanut smoothie and mango daiquiri. I love the colonial home the restaurant is in, we sat outside under the mango tree with a great view of the home. Everything was great I especially liked the grilled fish with pickled... More

We had an excellent meal at Romdeng, Cambodian style. The whole evening was very pleasant with excellent service and of course a worthy cause. Not to be missed.

We spent a lovely evening at Romdeng. The setting is very romantic and the food is very good quality, full of flavour and great value for money. We particularly enjoyed the Tonle Sap fish, sweet potato and coconut curry, as well as the pork and egg plant dish. Wine is also priced reasonably and is available by the glass. Upstairs... More
