For most of my 3 years living in Beijing, I have loved Huajia's signatura dish, the duck roll. It's true that food is not as good as it used to be but still it's quite nicely presented and not bad in taste. However, service has improved so much! Their level of attention to customer is much better tan many other... More

One of the many chinese restaurant you would never enter if not recommended...huge restaurant made of several buildings. very crowded, they do not take reservation after 7pm. Food is good, especially the peking duck, but do not look around or under the table.. try the caramelized fruit they offer you while you wait.. delicious

The peking duck is good and they served with 3 different saurce. The food is tastier than datong and presentation of food is beautiful too. Feel homely not so commercial.

The presentation of food is very exquisite. However, the taste of the food is just so-so. Do not have too high expectation on the taste. I did not see any performance though I had my dinner at around 7-8pm. The price is slightly on the higher side as compared to nicer food in Beijing

This place is not amazing. It is, however, a good example of a big Chinese restaurant where normal middle class Chinese people go, and for that, and its Peking Duck, I recommend it. The duck was really nice and a lot more affordable than the usual suspects you are being recommended on TripAdvisor (like Dadong). If you're some kind of... More

Hua is a large restaurant with dining rooms both private and public on both sides of a hutong. The gardens are beautiful, service attentive and food was delicious, unusual and hot. I don't know if it was because we were guests of a 'special' friend of the restaurant but we were treated royally. We were given a tour of the... More

This place is ok. And that's about it really. The menu looks really impressive but pretty much every dish came out looking much worse and bland collared to the pictures. The sauces were quite gloopy and did not really seem to be anywhere near the standard that the menu, reviews, or surroundings suggest. The prices aren't bad, but there are... More

Great service, very helpful staff, interesting food, lovely cold beer. A little hard to find but close to Sofitel and China World hotels.

had dinner here recently. although the standard of food has dropped since my last visit, it is still a great place to bring visitors - a complete package of a quaint courtyard setting, chinese acrobats and face changing, peking duck and some local beijing sichuan food.

We visited this restaurant after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor - as we usually do when we visit foreign climes. Had it not been for some useful comments on another restaurant (Mr and Mrs Bund, which i will also be reviewing), we would have dismissed Tripadvisor restaurant recommendations forevermore. This place was diabolical, so i don't understand why so many... More
