I admit it. I love Zingerman's food. The quality, the cool descriptions, the madcap lettering, and--just in case you really needed to know--what the neighbors say about the cows that made your cheese in the South of France! (OK, I made that one up, but it wasn't hard!) However, I also want you to know what to expect, including a... More

Excellent food. The menu is different from Zingerman's Roadhouse...but it isn't your typical deli. They have a huge selection and great spins on classics. It is also a store for hard to find items, and a dessert and coffee bar. They have recently added seating and the atmosphere is very trendy and welcoming. This is my favorite place in Ann... More

This was my second visit on their busiest day of the year (the day before U MI graduation day). This is not Carnegie's or Katz's Deli in NYC. The sandwiches are much smaller (and relatively more expensive) but all in all the experience is very tasty. Owner Ari Weinzweig has opted for a unique Midwest deli flavor, rather than trying... The variety is extreme and everything we tried was more than scrumptious. I signed up for their on-line ordering as they deliver fresh food anywhere. their pastrami is the best ever.

Being a New Yorker, I am a fan of good deli's. The bread has to be chewy, the crust crispy and the filling bursting with flavor. On all these counts Zingerman's deli was a disappointment. Although the environment is reasonably pleasant, the food is not up to expectation. We ordered vegetarian sandwiches and the bread was over toasted to the... More

38 minutes to wait for a sandwich priced at $16 seems a bit much. Food was good not great, but way overpriced & way to long to wait for a sandwich - they weren't that busy......Hard to swallow prices for college students to afford. Been there once - won't go back - too expensive & too long to wait -... More

I posted to my FB page that my husband and I were going to Ann Arbor for the first time, and three people immediately posted "You must go to Zingerman's!!" We could see why. What a cute place, and the sandwiches were yummy. Don't forget to tell them when you want your bread toasted!

Everyone I know always talks about Zingerman's as a must stop destination for deli. While it is true this establishment is an Ann Arbor icon it really isn't a "deli" like those you would find in New York. Rather it is an eclectic mix of both great deli counter food and a restaurant, not always working in synch. For example,... More

My friend ordered a $14 sandwich with a drink and I ordered a large Greek Island salad for $13.50. with NO ONION . Standing in line to order took about 15 minutes then we stood in another line to pay and finally another 20 minutes to get our food. When the food arrived my salad which was supposed to be... More

If there was one thing that always made the trip to Ann Arbor worthwhile, it was a visit to Zingerman's Deli on Detroit Street. Unfortunately, my last visit most likely will be my last visit. I bought two sandwiches - Classic Ruben and Pastrami on rye. When you pay $12.95 for a sandwich, you expect something more substantial than just... More
