We have been a total of three times to the Roadhouse now. The place is usually heavily packed, so you should make a reservation unless you don't mind to wait. About the food: What bothers me the most is that the quality of the dishes is highly inconsistent. We had excellent stuff (Mac&Cheese with Monterey Jack), food that was borderline... More

We went here because of the Zingerman name and because I thought we might be able to get some corned beef. (We tried going to the deli downtown but street repairs made parking impossible.) I ended up having the peppered ham reuben. It was OK...nothing stellar...just OK. The guy with me had a pulled pork sandwich which he said was... More

This has become one of the place we must go whenever we are back in Ann Arbor. Arie and his team will leave you feeling like you have been the most important guest in the house. Besides all that cheese from Monroe,WI you can't go wrong.

Went here for a brief stop while in Ann Arbor. Was a great place, great food and good atmosphere. Ordered the trout which was really, really good. Also had a side of the famous mushroom macaroni which was the high light of the meal!!!

The Zingerman's know how to make good food. The ribs are as good as any I have had - something I never thought I would say in Michigan! They serve large portions and everything is great. The roadhouse decor - and the collection of salt & pepper sets - is a bit dated. Service is good, but nothing special.

A few of my girlfriends and I went to Zingerman's Roadhouse to celebrate my birthday. It was a couple of weeks after my actual birthday. I had made reservations and our table was ready within 5 minutes. Our waitress was excellent. I was debating between two glasses of wine and she let me sample them both before ordering. She was... I go everytime I get to AA. However a pain it might be to get seated, once you get food, the world is good again. The decor borders close to sterotype chain concept, but the staff are individual and personable. All the BBQ meats are great (get the bearded plate to try a little of all), the mac and cheeses,... Being familiar with Zingerman's Deli from our Ann Arbor days, we decided to dine at the Roadhouse upon our arrival at the city for a visit. The prices were high (18-19 dollars for a vegetarian main course) but we were tired and didn't feel like looking for another place down town. What a disappointment! Only the bread and the coffee... I've been here 3 times since my daughter was a student at U MICH. Top 5 fried chicken I'VE EVER HAD. Friendly service, atmosphere nothing fancy, vast menu. Iconic place - if nothing else, go just to say you've been there.

Back in the days, I said Zingerrman's Roadhouse was "damn near perfect." I was loving a pig's knuckle they served that was die for. Well, last fall I had a knuckle in Strasbourg that made me weak in the knees. It made me wonder if Zingerman's Roadhouse was just OK for US consumption, but not world class. Well, they are... More
