This place has really good food, after doing the Original Taste of Hoi An Tour with Neville and his team we just had to have a meal here, it didnt dissapoint.
All i remember about this place was the amazing spring rolls. We did a food tour with Nevil the man that owns the resturant and had one of the spring rolls in the tour. I had to come back one last time to have them again. They use a type of rice paper but it looks like a fine flat... More
We had been to Morning Glory two nights before- I found the food at Family Restaurant better!! The mango salad was sensational, the flavours were exceptional. I was recommended the fish baked in Banana leaves and it was the highlight. We also did the cooking class 5 hours, shopping at the market and then creating food delights! Highly recommended!!
We had dinner here as a random choice and loved it. We only had the local dishes as we figured that's what travel is all about. We liked it so much we took their cooking class. Even better, just the three of us in truong's house after a trip to the local markets. The class was great the food was... More
We had a very nice dinner here. We finally got to try banana flower salad. Every other time we have asked for it around Hoi An they have run out for the day. The salad was very beautiful. We also ordered the grilled pork and the fish cooked in banana leaves.
Tried to get into morning glory but was booked out. Gas been told about the family restaurant by Australians staying at our resort. They recommended it highly. Se decided to let the waiter guide us with our meals. Couldn't have selected better if I tried. Definitely worth a visit.
Restaurant was very under staffed and as a result service was terrible and distinctly unfriendly. Had to ask at least three times for everything. Not even given napkins or utensils when food was served! Rice was cold and claggy. Dirty tables.
My family stumbled across this restaurant after trying to eat at Morning Glory (next door) but was told that it was full. We walked in and saw only a few people dining but we still decided to try the food. We were greeted by a young Vietnamese men and was seated straight away. Our menus arrived and we ordered drinks,... As this was the last stop of the 'Taste of Hoi An Food Tour' we decided to try the restaurant and we certainly were not disappointed. Excellent food, excellent service at amazingly cheap prices. The restaurant has lovely decor and tablecloths but do not be put off as you will be surprised at its authenticity.
