Fresh ingredients and a wonderful taste. The ambiance is so-so but that is not what your are going to this restaurant for. The owner Paul is a great guy if he happens to be around.

Just loved the simplicity of the menu, the freshness of the ingredients, the great taste, the great wine selection, and Paul's (the owner) personal attention to every detail.

Been to Sao Nam for dinner but this time we have lunch here. They have a smaller menu and also a set menu. Food is light and not greasy. There is not many customers as in dinner which is just nice for us.

They serve rather elaborate Vietnamese food, which is all very good. It is close to Bukit Bintang but in a quiet area, we had dinner in the little patio and it was pleasant to be outside. The service is good and rather efficient and tourist friendly (the restaurant is mentioned in Lonely Planet guide of KL)

Four of us ate there and all loved the food. The restaurant has tried hard to make the menu easy to understand for non-experts, and they succeed well. Ambiance is wonderful, beautiful cut flowers, nice lighting etc. Plus not far from the Bukit Bintang. Very clean, good service, loved it.

I wish this place had proper air-con. The tables under the fans were already reserved, so we were stuck by the wall. Maybe they could invest in a couple more fans! Sao Nam is a nice small restaurant with pleasant decor. We enjoyed our meal of local food, and the service was friendly. Reasonable value and we would return.
