My wife had set up Father's Day brunch at Larks this year. We were impressed with the service and the food was excellent. We have young kids and they were very accommodating. Will definitely eat here more often.

We have stayed at the Ashland Springs Hotel numerous times and thought that Larks was nothing more than a swanky hotel restaurant without gourmet dishes. This time our favorite restaurant, Amuse, was full and we settled on Larks. It was much better than expected. We both had vegetarian dishes: mine was quinoa kostas with a carrot reduced sauce with slices...

A pleasant spot just a block from the Shakespeare Theatre. Wide wicker seats, comfortable place. They can please the health-conscious with fish tacos, or those yearning for Southern comfort with fried chicken smothered with gravy, paired with mashed potatoes. The gravy is amazingly tasty with chunks of meat or bacon adding texture and a taste kick.
and I am always pleased. Last time I reviewed this on Tripadvisor was 9-29-2011and I gave it 5 stars. This time it was dinner for three. The men had the substantial meals, like lamb, and I had the Caesar salad and a cup of turnip and roasted fennel puree soup which was delicious. Everything is fresh and nicely presented. We...

Lark's is part of an historic lovely hotel, a perfect if somewhat formal (only slightly) part of Ashland. The wines and food selection are excellent as if the service. The staff are careful to make sure the timing of your meal suits your theater schedule. Do make reservations.
The Brunch was as good as I expected. I was expecting a great meal, but the scones were exceptional. I would go back for the scones alone. They were the best scones I've ever had. Light but rich, very baking soda-y, sweet but not cloying..great flavor, texture, etc.
We love the ambience, staff and decor at Larks. Menus changes and specials are special! Good wine list too.
Each the last 5 years while attending plays at OSF, we have eaten a dinner at Larks. In the past, we were always surprised at the diversity of offerings on the menu and the quality the kitchen delivered. But last week was not up to the previous standard. The Brussels sprout appetizer ( in a less than impressive offering) was...

Lark's a bit more expensive than I usually like my restaurants to be, but I was impressed by the food, ambiance, and service there. It's worth the splurge. My big tip is to get the flourless chocolate cake and salted caramel ice cream for dessert. Holy cow. It is a contender for best dessert I've ever eaten, and I've eaten...

Great setting in a vintage hotel. Seated by one of the big windows looking out on downtown. Good service, good food in a casual yet elegant atmosphere. Try the fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes, gravy and fresh vegetables for a fresh take on comfort food. Very large portion, but so good. The deserts looked wonderful and everyone around us...
