This is by far my favorite local bar in Altoona. Comfortable atmosphere, lots of local color and a great selection of beer. The out door courtyard is great during the warm seasons and the food is better than expected. Great for afterhours socializing as well as dinner and drinks with friends.

This place was excellent. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food and selection once you go in are excellent. They have a very extensive menu, not only food, but of a variety of beers. It was an enjoyable experience and our waitress was friendly. I would absolutely eat here again.

First visit despite plans to do so before. Made authentic black and tan. Ordered N.Y. Strip special with asparagus and baked potato with garlic butter. It was simply delicious! Hubby got the club sandwich and couldn't stop raving about it. A definite do-over!

We go to the Knick when we are looking to hang out with some great friends. They have a large rotating beer selection and you can sample beer you can't find anywhere else. Their food is average and I don't usually go there because I'm craving their food. I go there because I love trying different types of beer without... More

Good food, good company kind of like Cheer's in Altoona, a little bit pricey but worth a visit if you want a beer and some food.

A great old historic tavern with a very good staff. Owners were very friendly and much involved. The courtyard is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. The humus and the philly cheese steak is worth the visit. Beer is cold, staff are friendly, facility is welcoming. Nice inside bar with good service. Best part of the week during... More

This had a very small town feel; but it could be anywhere; US, France, Spain, DC, Altoona. It is charming. The waitress was given too many tables (the whole restaurant for lunch) but she handled it very well. The food was good and a great value

This was a great find in Altoona. The food is mostly burgers, salads and sandwiches- but all tasty. I had the veggie burger which was made on site- not a Boca burger and it was very good. They let me sub a salad for the chips, and my husband had a hoagie which he thought was delicious. We sat our... More

What a cool tavern to visit with authentic Pittsburgh/Phila food. The prices are great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was so nice. The food-fabulous!

I was searching for brunch in Altoona and wow what a find. It was very hot and the inside was nice and cold but we elected to sit in the courtyard which is amazing. The beer selection is off the charts and the food - I haven't had absolutely perfect wings in a long time. I had the French Dip... More
