Description: Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul PairetA modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Hours: Lunch: 11.30am to 2pm (Monday to Friday) Dinner: 6pm to 10.30pm (Sunday to Thursday); 6pm to 11pm (Friday & Saturday) Late Night Supper: 10.30pm to 2am (Tuesday to Thursday); 11pm to 4am (Friday & Saturday) Accolades: No.95 in The World's Best Restaurants 2012 by Restaurant Magazine UK, No.7 in Asia's Top 20 & No.1 in China by 2011/2012 The Miele Guide.

We walked in for a late lunch on a weekday and were quickly given a table which would be next to impossible if tried in a famous restaurant in Central (Hong Kong). Set lunch was excellent value at RMB 200 for two and 250 for three courses. Service was a bit rushed but given we started at 1:30 it wasn't... More

I had a long, overnight layover in Shanghai. I checked into my hotel, the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund (yes, I was living it up for that one night there) around 11:30pm and asked for a good dinner recommendation. The concierge instantly recommended this one. It's a short walk from the hotel on a very central and beautiful stretch of... More

Not sure which is larger - the menu or the restaurant (both are enormous). Compared to the size of the restaurant, relatively few tables have a view. But there are two outdoor terraces with picnic tables - if you are looking for the view, perhaps take cocktails outside on the terrace before dinner. We had a couple unsuccessful attempts to... More

You cant beat the atmosphere in this place. Food is also rather good. Service does not match neither prices nor food. Some of the wines should be taken out form the wine list as they just dont fit this place.

It is classy (however I sadly saw the crowd was not elegantly dressed) and the food is great. I can recommend! For fine-diners, if i may say so. The menu is great (somehow the menu items appear repeatedly that is why it is a bit confusing).

Almost everything is fantastic ! Food is superb, good service. High class and expensive. Make sure to make reservations in advance. If you are in Shanghai - don't miss it.

Part of 4 went and cant comment on the price as I didn't pay but seemed equivalent to Western prices with good sized portions. Really interesting menu and wine list to please anyone. Food really good quality and inventive in tastes. Place is large and was full so I suggest booking ahead. There are window tables for great views across... More

Went there last night for the 11pm deal which I have to say - is just perfect! Two dishes for 200RMB, amaizing food as always! Very good value for money! Service - they were all super nice to us! Very polite and professional! Atmosphere and music as always - great! Only there was something I did not like... 50RMB for... More

I went there 2 weeks ago in a trip to China. It was a bingo day and the sound was tot loud what made us a little uncomfortable. It was before the rucola salad came .... after it my experience was 180 degrees different. What a dinning experience! The salmon, the wine pairing and specially the fish and lemon dessert... More

I'd previously enjoyed a few cocktails out on the balcony of this Bund stalwart but after seeing Mr. & Mrs. Bund featured in The Top 50 Restaurants in Asia 2013 I decided to take my partner there for our anniversary. We were not disappointed and while expensive it is great value for such a quality menu. Reservations were fine and... More
